this happened to Archie once and my aunt said to put some brown sugar in the water and try that. Sure enough he pooed a few hours later. I think they don't recommend putting sugar in the water these days for a few reasons, bad for teeth, gets them used to sweet water etc but just once or twice won't do any harm and if it will help her poo. The brown sugar water worked very well for us, also the orange juice worked too. Poor Gracie Faye. Its horrible when theyre bunged up! It's a lot easier when they're weaned. Now if Gabe is a bit constipated I just give him loads of fruit and veggies! xx
Hi bubbubHaven't really got anything useful to say I'm afraid but just wanted to say please don't think you are thick or useless. It is bound to take time to get back into the swing of things and leaving lo behind is really tough. Just remember your a fab mummy and that's why your doing all this.Take care babe xx
yes thats very true you dont have to spend loads to b romantic me and oh offten dont buy anything he might get me bunch of flowers as im not that bothered my sister goes on how much she gets they both spend loads hundreds which aint wot its about i think a bunch of flowers abox of chocolates and a card is more than enough and we cook a nice meal for our men or go out
How much does she weight now hun? It's 1 sash for under 10lbs and 2 for over! If she is over that i'd take her back to doctors just get them to up the dose, with the Gaviscon it has to build in there system so you should start to notice an improvment after a few feeds of the higher dose! xxx
Honestly it couldnt get any worse! She did it on the school run this morning, she was absolutley covered in the stuff, it was in her hair and everything, she even managed to coat the back of Theo's toddler seat (phil and teds) with sick, it was that violent.I took her back to the docs and they've told me to just continue with the gaviscon and the other one, and to keep her as upright as possible which isnt possible in the p&t!xx
hi karyn, I'd say go for it! It can cause a bit of upset belly/consipation during a change over of milk especially as hungry baby milk is harder to digest (as this is how it works), don't worry about yoru HV, if it doesn;t work then go back ont he other milk or even try another brand, good luck x
Afternoon,My daughter is six months old and we are in the process of weaning. I have dropped one of her milk feeds and give her water from a beaker with her tea time feed but she doesn't enjoy the cup and pushes it away not taking a lot of the water.Could anybody give any tips on the change from bottle to beaker and advise on how and when you dropped milk feeds and got your child to embrace the beaker. Thanks in advance.
Title says it all really. DS is teething again but has an awful teething rash on his chin and under his neck from his constant drooling. It looks so sore but doesn't seem to be bothering him. I have been using Sudocrem for the past week but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Does anyone have any other recommendations? xx
