Your baby
The hair on her head is getting thicker but the lanugo hair that was covering her body is falling out. She’s getting plumper and stronger and her skin is less wrinkled. If she hears a loud noise you’ll feel her kick. She's 36cm and weighs just over 1kg.

You may feel Braxton Hicks practice contractions now, although most people don't feel them until the last weeks of pregnancy. Practice relaxation and breathing exercises in preparation for labour.
Call your midwife or hospital if you think you’re in real labour. Contractions last one minute and happen at intervals of five minutes or less.
Much as you need your sleep before the baby’s born, many women find they suffer from pregnancy insomnia in these last few weeks. Staying active should help you get a good night’s sleep.
