You are 16 weeks pregnant!

Wow, you’re already 16 weeks pregnant and at some point fairly soon you may start to feel your baby’s first movements. Magical!

Your baby
Your baby is about the length of a pencil, around 14cm long. She can wave her fingers and toes about. She's covered in downy hair called lanugo to keep her warm before fat is formed. She can hear some sounds and your voice is the first she recognises.

You may feel the baby move now - like butterflies in your stomach that you may think is wind! It'll be harder to sleep at night due to your growing bump, general discomfort and other worries. Pregnant women often have strange dreams. Don’t worry about them - they are just dreams!
