1. Embrace elasticated waistbands

Unsurprisingly, women expecting twins tend to put on more weight than those carrying a single baby. On avergae a woman expecting one baby gains around 11-15kg. For a twin pregnancy, this increases to 16-20kg, a combination of two growing babies, fluid and placenta.

Is it wrong I feel so upset about my expanding waistline? I couldn't be happier about expecting twins, I'm currently 21 weeks and 3 days and I feel massive. I don't want to be so selfish but I can't help it. Are any other mums expecting twins feeling this way? I feel so guilty as I shouldn't be worried about putting on weight it's only natural. This I my first pregnancy so maybe that's part of the reason why I'm not used to it and feeling so huge.
