10. Be good to yourself

Mothers of multiple births are almost twice as likely to suffer from postnatal depression (PND) than mums of single children, according to research by Tamba. Carol says, ‘the tiredness and isolation can make you feel like you are not doing that well. It is important to establish a routine as early as you can and ask everyone you know for help.’

Where to go for help

Can I give birth to twins naturally?

Discuss this story

Is it wrong I feel so upset about my expanding waistline? I couldn't be happier about expecting twins, I'm currently 21 weeks and 3 days and I feel massive. I don't want to be so selfish but I can't help it. Are any other mums expecting twins feeling this way? I feel so guilty as I shouldn't be worried about putting on weight it's only natural. This I my first pregnancy so maybe that's part of the reason why I'm not used to it and feeling so huge.
