Mightily help!

Hi hun,

I'm not sure about weaning off the dummy and how to do it. But when my dd was about 5 months (i think) she kept losing her dummy and knocking it out of her cot! So i got her a Sleepytot teddy: http://www.sleepytot.com/

You can velcro the dummies onto the paws and once she got used to the teddy and the idea that her dummy was attached, we didn't have to do any dummy runs - excepts if she lies on top of the teddy and can't find it! lol.

Just an alternative if it is hard to wean her off the dummy xxx

Hi hun,

As long as he is getting a varied diet there is no need to put him onto formula, you can go straight on to cows milk. I am still bf Emily and a couple of weeks ago i swapped her evening feed for cows milk out of her beaker. She was nipping and really restless with that feed so i thought it was time to stop it. I now only feed her first thing in the morning when we wake up. She takes quite alot of milk from that feed so i am not worried about giving her cows milk. I also just make sure she has plenty of dairy in her diet.

hope this helps!

still not sleeping through at 7 months

I agree with Morello and Claire-abelle. I would try offering water instead of milk.

I did this at 7 months with my dd and she slept through the second night! Although she didn't consistently sleep through until about 8/9 months.

I also agree you are not doing anything wrong, she will sleep through when she is ready to xxx

Breast feeding at night - am I doing it wrong?

Posted: 29/12/2010 at 07:36
I haven't read all the replies yet, but could you try to get as much milk into her as possible before bedtime? I used to feed dd then do the bathtime routine and then feed her again. She would still wake up once or twice through the night but she tended to go straight back to sleep - sometimes she would fall asleep on the boob and i would have to gently wind her before laying her down in her cot.

I also used to co-sleep and feed her lying down which makes the night feeds seem less of a chore!

My dd occasionally slept through at 7 months and now at 10 months she mostly sleeps through but can still wake up once or twice if her teeth are bothering her!

Anyone still here??!!

Hi everyone,

I think most of us are camping out in the feb group in Facebook that was created for when they shut down BE for the few days.

If any of you would like to be added then pm me on here and i will add you

It is a private group and none of your fb friends will know you are in it as they won't see any posts.

I dropped her!!!!!!! :(

Oh no, the guilt you put on yourself as a mother is unbelievable isn't it?

Another baby dropper here! When dd was about 8 weeks old i missed a step going out our front door and fell with her in my arms. She landed on the stones face down and was screaming! Her face was all scratched and i felt terrible. To make matters worse, we were on our way to my neice's birthday party and i had to face the mother in law - who was not amused! Luckily my sil's friends were all there and they made me feel much better by saying that these things happen and that babies are more resiliant than we give them credit for!

Thankfully i haven't dropped her since but hubby did let her fall off the bed a few months ago when he didn't realise she could move so quickly!! It was an accident and she was fine but he also felt awful! Needless to say it has never happened again!

Recipe help please! X

I used an Annabel Karmel recipe for Chicken and Apple balls and made them into fullsize burgers for me and hubby. They were very yummy!! x
