locking the door?

Posted: 22/03/2008 at 18:44
I heard a good idea. put a bell on her bedroom door, so every time she leaves her room you can hear her, then you can do the whole "put back routine" and put her straight back to bed, 1st/2nd time she does it you tell her "it's bedtime now", third time (and all the other times... ) don't say anything, just put her back to bed,

the bell you can get from B&Q, the kind that you put on your exernal doors and the noise goes off in your room, so she won't hear the bell noise.

car seats

we have the britax si it's on offer in mothercare at the moment for ??89.99 but they may be still out of stock.

http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B000M8HTZ4/sr=1-10/qid=1199796784/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44451031&mcb=core

I can't understand how he could've grown out of the seat by 13 weeks as a 0+ last until around 9 months old. I have my toddler in the britax so and the baby (7 months) in a 0+ graco car seat from my travel system. now the baby is BIG and still fits in it now. sometimes when he had his big coat on it was hard to get the straps round him, but now I just put a warm thinner coat then put a fleece blanket round him too. As long as his head isn't popping over the top of the seat or he's over the recommended weight then it should be ok.

tbh there are some thick stupid parents out there who do leave their kids in walkers all day & can't be arsed to watch them near stairs infortionatly so they have to treat us all the 'same' I suppose.

walkers are now banned from nurseries, play groups & daycare etc now because of the risks. It's not all bad but some people just don't do things within reason do they? Imo HV's are only doing there job in telling us about risks and what is good and not good...

I stopped using our walker when my son's physio warned me about the risks. but then my 1st son has cerebral palsy. My 2nd son is now 6 months old & he does use it but probably once a week for a 10 mins...

as with everything... everythings good in moderation! lol

thinking thinking thinking

my eldest was 12 months old before we started ttc again and we got pregnant straight away. I really wanted another baby ever since daniel (my 1st) was born but I just kept thinking of the little things I wouldn't be able to do properly or not as well if I were pregnant and the attention that both would miss out on.

So know I have a 27 month old & a 6 month old, I do want another 1 (maybe 2) but I definatly don't want another for at least another 2 years. Its is hard work juggling 2 so young!

good luck to all ttc! :\)

High temp but refusing medicine

Posted: 05/12/2007 at 17:01
daniel never takes medience! ggrrrrr! he has to have 2 lots every day and only way we can get it in him is in his milk. when he's being fussy we'd make 2x 4oz bottles, the first one is normal and the second will have the medience in it. just enough to disguse the taste!

so he gets the medience bottle first then if he finshes that one and wants more i'll give him the second, so that way i know he's had all the medience.

hope that makes sense! xxx

LAARGE Fibroid

Posted: 29/11/2007 at 17:57
no it's ok she's fine with it now, it was 3 years ago and she's ok. she was sad she didn't have no 3 but she's very greatful for the 2 she has got as soem people never get that. xxx

she never had any physical problems with her fibroids just that she looked pregnant when she wasn't and she had to wee all the time.

My sister's case was more because it was inside her womb at the top and the other one was lower down. they siad if she did have no.3 she would defo develop another fibroid and the biggest one would grow again due to the hormones you get when pregnant.

i'm sure you'll be ok. xxxxxxxxxxx
