Hi girls,

Just a quick post to let you know that my yellow bump arrived on Thursday 9th December, 4 days early weighing 6lb 9oz and SHE was a pink bump after all!

We called her Ivy x

Does anyone here work for a Primary Care Trust ?

I do, I know OF the cuts, but don't know anything other than that. I think being on Maternity Leave you are quite safe, although there is probably a way around it so who knows?!

Just wanted to have a quick moan really as H2B works for this parents and has just had to go out on a job to Birmingham (a few hours away) when I am due on the 13th so realistically I could go in to labour whenever. WHY can't his dad go!? because he's lazy and is sitting on his arse at home. So annoyed. GRRRRR.

Posted: 30/11/2010 at 06:16
our first was born in May 2009 and it was scorching but I used the carry cot for aggggges! everyone kept telling me you only use it for a little while but we used it for at least 6 months. probably much longer!

I know the feeling...our little one is called Sonny.....so hearing people call out "Son" drives me mad, and I think as soon as it leaves their mouths they realise how stupid it sounds!

Im due my second in 3 weeks and my OH, as well as parents etc. are all insisting that i do not required a double, and i will just have to make do with ALWAYS relying on somebody else if i ever i need to go anywhere!!!

I am so down and stressed about it =(

Men in nursing/baby changing rooms... what's your opinion?

Posted: 17/11/2010 at 05:14
Just incase anybody gets put off going to Lakeside because they don't have a seperate feeding room - this is in fact incorrect - They have a big "open" changing area, a bench area and right at the back there is a little room which you can go into, however there is nothing stopping men going in there but it is unlikely.

I used this room with my first. My OH felt it was kinder to other ladies to not come in, and so chose to wait outside with the pram whilst i breastfed but i must admit that at some points i felt extremely lonely and sad, my son was only about 2 weeks old and most of that first trip out was spent in there...it was tough. Other men did come in though and although it takes getting used too, i didnt mind - their OH's were breastfeeding too so they are obviously comfortable with it!

Here we go again...

congratulations! i think i was one of the first in BiM09 to go through it all again - I am due on 13th December so am 34+2...still havent quite got used to it! We stayed team yellow again so am really excited with regards to wondering what sex it will be...

I am SO unprepared this time round. Haven't bought a thing and really need to start getting sorted with less than six weeks until B-Day!
