I'm having another baby

Wow wow wow!!
Congratulations!! What wonderful news!! I know what you both mean, but with Lil being number 3 and the middle one also being diagnosed with long term illness this year I think my baby days are over...so will have to enjoy your online updates

Oh Lucy Loo...How awful for you!! I really wonder sometimes at the thoughts that go through 'professional' peoples heads sometimes!! The idea of ringing you HV/GP is probably a good idea...they may at least have access to some other details that you haven't been told!

Hayley..sounds like hopefully you are getting somewhere-all be it slowly! I'm starting to think that sometimes crossing out a box is as good as ticking one..if that makes any sense! I think your very right about us being amazing supermums!

I feel once again that life is a cycle of hospital appointments! Lillith has had another eye test..2 monthly..and her Left eye is only seeing 6/36 so we now have to patch her Right eye 2-3 hours a day. One of the smallest things I have to do...but yet it's really hit home and I'm struggling. We have another eeg this saturday and then the meds change...don't really know yet how I'm going to do it all!... time to dig deep I suppose!

Hey all..It's been so long since I've been on here! It's been lovely to be able to read through and catch up on how your all doing!

Sounds like everyone has had a busy few months..this week alone all 3 of my children have hospital appointments..that's not inculding any other treatments Lillith has!

Reading the last few posts have touched a nerve..It's so hard to run around, listen to peoples points of view..keep on top of everything and stay sane isn't it!?!
I feel like my complete life is medical these days..in fact my eldest has recently been diagnosed with Hypermobility and I'm sure her consultant thought I was mad because I new what he was checking for pretty quickly and some treatments. All from special needs group we go to!

And in April my middle child was diagnosed with diabeties..type 1, which at the lovely age of 11 has not gone down well..constant battles there.
Throuhout all this Lillith has continued to amaze us all, she easily fills in the 'gaps' in her vision with her knowledge and is a realy madam. She was 2 at the begining of October and the latest phrase is 'oh my god, i cannot believe it' (thank you my 13 year old!!).
Her vision is not improving too much, but remaining stable, next eye test is 4th Nov, but unfortunatly after a tonic clonic a few months back we've lost the epilepsy control and I am now getting ready to start the mammoth task of changing her medication over a six week period!

All in all it's all getting a little much, I had not stopped to consider just taking a step in here to have a chat with you ladies xx

I hope the appointment goes well next week Hayley, look forward to more updates ladies..and hope to get on here a little more.

xx

its my birthday....

Happy Birthday!! Sounds like you had a fab day!! Pamper yourself!! xxx

what do you think of this twin stroller?

Lol!! Junie mummy this is not good-I saw a 'ladybird' pushchair yesterday... considered looking it up-but thought no, I'll be good... Now I have been taken to the site by you!! lol Can I blame it on your Lara's too?? lol

I love the first one, and the O'baby one... I think the red and black is fine and a bit different! I hate the 'clashing panic' so most of my pushchairs are Red Lillith wears alot of pink and it's fine with that-doesn't look bad at all!!
Happy shopping xxx

A little help please xx

Oh Mims...sounds scary!! Lillith's eye's rolled, foamed at the mouth-went stiff and mumbling, she was only using half her mouth so I paniced in case she had had a stroke!

I think they let her out because she is on epilepsy medication and had antibiotics-which is all they would really do there, the big question really is was it a fit because of the temp or a fit controlled by meds-that was triggered by the temp-I'm not sure if her pead will be so happy about the early discharge...but we are seeing him next week!! I called in the next day when her temp could not be kept down and they rang me straight back with advice.

They said it's likely to be an ear infection as is was red-so we are treating for that!

A little help please xx

Thank you for your replies... How typical I have a day of hell and daddy comes home and she's all smiles....
She is now sitting eating crumpets...she is still not too happy to drink but will keep trying!

LinziMc, I ended up doing the same with Lillith-just a nappy, though you then worry they'll get cold! I actually used to have febrile convulsions so know to look out for them but it was scary being the first-especially with a heart rate of 176 bpm!

thank you all for the advice-she's not great but so far seems to be picking up a little! xxx

A little advice please!!

Hey!
Thank you for the advice, she is on carbamazepine twice a day. I am waking her when I can and tryinf to get her to stay awake. We went for a walk earlier and she stayed awake for that-she has had some food, weetabix and some bread and butter and some of my soup. and about 1 and a half beakers of water. I'm trying rehydration drinks now.
Yesterday she was better so I think I'll keep trying till later- Her lips are not dry, and she is wet-just. Going to try naughty favorites to tempt her-and maybe some ice cream-I think her throat is sore!

A little help please xx

Hello Ladies,
I'm after advice if anyone can help!

My youngest 'baby' (17mths) came down with a rash over last weekend, then Monday her temp shot up. We went to the doctors and were given antibiotics and told to use calpol. As I was at the chemist she had her 1st Febrile convulsion. So off to A&E we went, after several hours we went home continuing with medication already given.

Tuesday her temp went to 39.9!! After speaking to Pead at hospital we stayed home and this came down. Yesterday she was really grumpy but no temp-today she woke up, temp is back-and she has slept all-and I mean all day. I have roused her a few times but she cries, whinges and refuses to leave my lap-is this normal, could she just be 'sleeping off' the infection?? She wont eat/drink unless made too-and then only in small amounts...

I must add she is already on anticonvulsant medication!

Sorry for the waffle-please help!

A little advice please!!
