can you use a sleeping bag in a moses basket?

hello ladies

we have bought a moses basket for baby and sleeping bags that say from birth as long as baby is over 7lbs, however i dont see how they work with the moses basket as there would be too much material as baby isnt going to be as long as the bag and the bag is actually longer then the basket, so do you leave a bit hanging over ( looks a bit risky to me) i have read not to tuck the extra material under baby so what do you do? are sleeping bags only designed to be used in cots? if so what do you use in basket, swadeling blankets?

and... when baby is big enough to sleep in the cot/we are happy i understand the foot to bottom of cot rule applies but going back to the sleeping bags, dose that mean the bottom of the bag touches the cot end rather then babies feet? im getting all confused by the length of these bag things!

sorry if that sounds silly, its probably really simple but im still confused!

thank you xx

Lottie Fairy Princess bedding

Hello ladies

just out of interest has anyone else order the Lottie Fairy princess bedding range ( Humphreys corner )? we orderd ours back in May, it still hasnt arrived and im just getting a bit worrried about it now, we ordered through an internet site and they took the ??100 when the order was placed, they have been in contact since and keep saying there is a delay for one reason or another. Our baby isnt due till September so there is no huge rush but i just wish we had the bedding so we could finish off the nursery.

if anyone is waiting for their order that would be great to hear also if anyone has recieved theirs that would be good to know too.

thanks xxxx

ok so...
To the tw@t who sits next to me at work- thank you so much for announcing to the whole office that I have spots all over my forehead, obviously I haven't looked in a mirror for the last week, cant feel them either when I put make up on or even just the general pain of them, so once a again thanks that was really helpful and hasn't upset me at all!

To my other work colleagues and everyone who thinks it totally ok to comment and make jokes about my bump, size, swollen feet, legs and hands etc- thank you so much for pointing these things out to me and taking the P!ss, your thoughtless, selfish remarks are extremely helpful thank you so so much!

Itching

Hi Sj

How many weeks are you? Try not to worry too much, im 28 weeks now and from about 23 weeks I have been very itchy, its better now then it was but it drove me crazy to begin with. I do have little red lumps where I itched but I think they came more of a result of itching rather then the cause of it - hope that makes sense.

You do need to see your doctor or mid wife to get this checked out, it is probably nothing to worry about and just due to high hormone levels, its actually quite common so please don't worry, you are right in thinking that there is a small chance it could be something more complicated but even if it is they can treat it and the success rates are very high.

You will probably need to have a blood test done by your doctor or midwife; this will give a better idea of what is causing the itching so best to see them as soon as you can so you can put your mind at rest.

Good luck xx

p.s cool bathes seemed to work really well for me to help keep the itching under control!
