Hello!

Hi there, just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself - I'm Suzie and am about 6w+2. We already have a little boy who is 3 in July. This was not a planned pregnancy but now we're over the shock, we're quite relaxed about it all and hopefully all is going ok!

I have a fabulous bunch of ladies from my previous 'born in July' group and looking forward to sharing the next 8 ish months with everybody!

PLEASE PLEASE brush up on your first aid everyone.

that means your 'friend' was googling your name then doesn't it?!!! :S

am not going to mention anything on here about your news incase she stalks and tracks you down onto here - (bet she'll have guessed anyway!)

I am genuinely so excited

BTW - how embarrassing would it be if some of our real-life friends tracked us and our old posts (you know the ones where we were considering how to tidy 'downstairs' before we went into labour....and the ins and outs of our stitches, sex lives, boobs - I mean everything really) - god we've posted about some intimate stuff!!

My baby monitor picked up another family!

I've got a TT one too and I picked up another family in out close a few weeks back! they only have 2 channels so not unexpected if you live in an area with lots of families I guess. Still - not nice to hear that sort of thing...

Bug sad rant...

bless you, what a crap, pants time you're having. Do you get any sort of redundancy package to ease things at all? make sure they have been 'fair' to you as I think we have quite alot of rights when it comes to being made redundant if on mat leave.
All this on top of your sister and friend being so poorly, not surprising tensions can get high at home.
Sending some hugs and sloppy joshie kisses xxx

Ideas & suggestions for big summer meet up :)

oooh I think newcastle etc is a fair way from me (south lincs), Nottingham or Birmingham would be fine or Oxford. I shall MAKE my OH come this time so I can have a wee drinky poo!! If it's a long way to go, we may even stay the night before and after and make it a mini break!! lol, but otherwise, yes Niene we could stay the night after meet I don't mind.

Ohh that sounds a good idea to me! I'd happily travel up/ over and possibly stay the night like last time. I should be able to do weekend or week day - prefer it to be in June tho and need plenty of notice so can book the days off work!! Hopefully. Maybe a few will stay over??! Vicky, Geniene??!!

Removing mucus from throat

Posted: 12/02/2011 at 10:57
hi, my little boy had a horrific cold just before xmas and suffered from this, he has reflux too so any coughing/gagging on mucus is usually followed by a fountain of vomit.... he still does it now once or twice a day (he seems to have constant minor colds). I just think it's something we and they have to live with until they discover how to clear their throat, iykwim. He doesn't seem bothered by it.

so scary :(

hey cass, I'd been following things on FB, bet it was terrible but at least now they are going to keep a careful watch on him.

I wanted to add: big congrats on your work for raising awareness of CHD in babies tho, with 2 kids and zanders probs I think you deserve a medal for keeping going and thinking of helping others too!

hope the next steps in your brave, strong little man's journey go smoothly - we'll be there with you

Motion alarm in moses basket went off this morning, very worried

Posted: 03/02/2011 at 10:09
same here, our days are limited as LO can now wriggle all over the cot - it's gone off about 3 times in the last couple of nights and all times he's been at top end of cot!

We used to use it in moses basket and it did go off a couple of times - but he was fine - I think like previous poster said - the bottom of basket isn't flat to support the sensor pad properly so I wouldn't be too alarmed, although it is terrifying when they first go off - now we are just like - oh I wonder where he's rolled off to this time.

try not to worry too much, if the baby is ourwise fit and well then any chance of cot death is very small. Enjoy your baby xxx
