New mum of premature baby born at 32 weekd

Hey there

I had my babies at 34 weeks. My boys were in hospital for a week however my daughter spent 9 weeks in NICU after developing NEC and needing 2 ops.

Thankfully she pulled through and has made a remarkable recovery.

Developmentally they have done really well. They all walked at 12 months (uncorrected) and their language development has been spot on.

bath time!

Posted: 24/09/2011 at 03:42
Hey there

My 3 have a bath every night and they absolutely love it!! It has become an integral part of their bedtime routine and it really helps them settle. They usually have it about 6pm and all go in together. Thankfully OH is almost always home for it, if not my mum will pop in and give me a hand!!

feeling very overwhelmed and vulnerable now daughter is home

Hi there

I can totally empathise with how you are feeling.

My babies were born at 34 weeks. At 4 days old my daughter developed a life threatening condition and spent 9 weeks in nicu before coming home (the boys came home after a week)

My daughter suffered from terrible reflux and we had numerous visits to CAU. I felt helpless without the nicu staff and felt I was failing her. However those feelings passed and I felt more and more confident as time went on.

Take care of yourself and talk about how you are feeling. You can message me if you like.

Crawling, shuffli, walking yet?

Posted: 09/04/2011 at 13:22
Hey ladies

We have a stander!!! Max has mastered pulling himself up, cruising on everything and walking holding my hands and today he has started standing on his own (before landing on his bum!!)

Lenny and Violet aren't far behind (both crawling and pulling themselves up on things).

First IUI might be abandoned

Posted: 04/03/2011 at 15:46
Hi there

I had IUI with clomid (50mg) and the cycle in which fell I had 4 dominant follicles and I had triplets.

For me it was the best thing that ever happened to me but I was one of the lucky ones - I carried my babies to 35 weeks and have three gorgeous, healhty 10 months old now. However I am an exception as sadly there are significant risks with higher order multiples and you should bear this is mind.
