First kiss for Mummy

Posted: 28/04/2012 at 22:08
Phoebe gave me my first miss today. ! She was sitting up on her changing station whilst I was drying her back, I kept leaning in and kissing her cheeks when she grabbed my face and gave my cheek a big gummy kiss. To be fair she was actually sucking my face but I strongly believe it was her way of kissing lol

Glitterbug I'm glad you have adjusted to work/ family life. You are lucky being able to finish so early. Both me and hubby are coppers so have to work shifts. My late shift is till 8 pm. Thankfully because I'm a detective on child protection I don't work nights. It must be something to do with Phoebe's because my Phoebe can be a little madam as well. If she doesn't like something she will push it away lol she is so funny.

I think we might have had our first word!!

Its lovely isn't it.

Roo thats so funny as hubby and i are exactly the same. Phoebe can say mumma, dada and bear but says mumma the most

Cruising!!!

What a shame your working on his first birthday

Thankfully both my husband and I are both free from work. I think we are going to celebrate by having a garden party (weather permitting) with close friends and family. Ohoebe absolutely loves bears and soft toys so think i am going to take her to one of those places where she can pick and stuff her own. this is something i can then do every year with her....

Gosh haven't been on here for a while!

Just a quick update so far, Phoebe will be 9 months on Saturday, I really dont know where that has gone. I have one week left beore i am back at work. I have had to reduce my hours slightly but only dropping three hours a week so still going to class myself as full time lol....

Phoebe is coming on leaps and bounds. She can roll from tummy to back (but noth the other way) We ave one tooth already and the second is about to make an appearance. She is very vocal and can say mumma, da da and bear! I love to here her babbling.

Im loving being a mummy and im actually looking forward to being a working mummy.

I have to say life is so good

Say hello!

Hi, I'm loving the new look BX!

I agree with MissusG, we are in the same birth buddies forum and to be fair it is the main reason that I log onto BX. It would be nice if there was a way in which you could save a particular part of the site ( eg the chat forum born in July 2011) as a default log in setting so that when you log on it will take you straight to that part of the site. I have BX saved as a favourite on my laptop so it does this for me but if I log on from another computer I have to manually search for the forum.

Its not a criticism and I'm probably just being picky or just plain lazy lol!

Say hello!

my second week of my six week course! God how the time is flying. Phoebe will be 7 months next Tuesday (I'm now going from the date of her birth and not weeks) and she is in nursery 3 times a week....She loves it

I was a very brave mummy and didn't cry when I left her for the first time although I raced out of work to get her at the end of the day! She has fit in so well and has even made me a birthday card (last week) and a valentines card yesterday. Its such a relief knowing that she is safe and happy although nobody can look after her as well as i can

Drinks & Cups

I raised this with my HV as Phoebe just won't take water from a spout. Her advise was not to worry as because she is on 21oz of formula a day (3x7oz) and she will be getting enough fluid from this and also from fruit and veg.....

I have however purchased a doidy cup which Phoebe seems to like as she golds the angled side to her mouth and slurps at the water (don't get me worng most of it ends up down her front  )

You can get them brand new from ebay for about ??4 well worth getting one!
