PMA ladies!

I had a VBAC just over a year ago with DD2 after DD1 was born via EMC (I was knocked out as she was a category 1 for foetal distress).
The Drs really keep a close eye on you during a VBAC and they are really quick to act if something goes wrong. I had a section booked for 10 days over as I declined an induction. The consultant also booked me in for a sweep on my due date (our local hospital is very pro active in reducing section rates). It never got to that point mind you as I gave birth to DD2 the day before her due date, 24 hours after my waters had broken. She was a ventouse delivery as she was rather stuck and I had only had gas and air and some local anaesthetic injected into my bits (nice) as I didn't want and pethidine and it was all to quick for an epidural (I was 8-9cm by the time I got to hospital, which is amazing as I got to 8cm when it all kicked off with dd1 and I was whisked to theatre)

Its bloody scary in the run up to the big day but I was so focused on breathing through the pain I was surprisingly calm, I think I only shouted at the Dr once to 'GET IT OUT OF ME!!' Lol

Good luck X

Get a Petit Star Kurvi 3 or 4 refurbished for ??80.
Thats what we did and it was amazing. No idea what the fault with it was. Had a new rain cover and brand new wheels in fact it looked brand new. Much better price tag than the original ??300 it should have been.

Have a look at www.NurseryValue.com

Anyone been to Wollacombe?

Hey Golden Girl!

I've been but I cant remember much about it! I know we had a great time tho. Ilfracombe is lovely as well. We stayed at the golden coast place when Lily was 18 months. The accommadation was great, we took a travel cot with us. And I went to one of the other parks to have a massage, while hubby and his mate (Lily's godfather, who tagged along too) took her to the swimming pool.

We do lots of these kinds of holidays (off to Butlins Minehead next week, yay) and its one of the best ones we have done.

Its a bit of a trek out but see if you can go to the Milkyway place (like an activity centre). Its a really weird place but brilliant at the same time.

I'm so excited about Evelyns first holiday next week. The maybies are growing up!

Feel like my relationship is not making it

I felt like this and we are starting to come out the other side.
Slightly different for us as our situation was caused by us over stretching ourselves to buy a house. Hubby worked 2 jobs (1 full time and 1 part time) and we felt like ships passing. I started getting resentful as he was going out all day and then having band practice once a week and at times a day at the weekend too.
Our second dd wasn't planned and I ended up going back to work when she was 5 months old.
DD1 is now 3 years old and all of a sudden I am happy and I'm not sure what has happened!
We dont go out much and our family holiday is a sun holiday to Butlins next week and I cant wait.

Its been a long slog, lots of tears and struggling but I have suddenly started to accept my lot and make the most of it. If hubby has practice at a weekend then we go and watch. We made sure that we do one thing together over the weekend that doesn't cost anything (ie picnic at the park)

We also like to throw a dinner party once a month so that we get to stay in touch with our friends. And I always tell hubby to be home an hour earlier than I need him because he is NEVER on time. If I want him home for 8 as the dinner party starts at 8.30 then I tell him 7. He then usually gets in just after 8!

Hope it gets better for you soon.
