They are very good videos, I've got a couple on Windows media (avi) files. It keeps my LO attention for a full 19 min. I've got baby First Moves as an avi file not sure if it can be emailed but if anyone is intersted in a copy I can try to email it to you.

Help!

Naptime Battle

I'm having that same propblem as well. She use to fall asleep so easy but now she fights it so much that she scratches her face and pulls at her ears. And she now has this habit of pulling her blanket or muslin over her face... Sometimes I get all worked up about it and as soon as I walk out the room and return she is asleep.
I'm going to try Pumpkin Pie method and see if it works..

Who's still breastfeeding?

Posted: 03/10/2010 at 09:09
We are still breastfeeding as well. My ellectric pump has a short (keeps cutting off) so I'm off to boots for an exchange as it has a 1 yr guarantee.

Can't believe we made it thus far....

I think I'm not feeding her properly

Thank you so much ladies - it just seems like everyone is weaning and has a feeding schedule. I went to a baby group on Wednesday and one of the mums to a 6mth old said I may be "underfeedind her - that I should give her an 8oz bottle at night so she can sleep through". I felt really bad and started to panic and I pulled out the 260ml tommee bottles lastnight - I poured 51/2oz's in and she only drank 4oz's as usual and woke up on her usual 4hr que.

At first other mums were saying I was feeding her too much with the breast that I should let 3 to 4hrs past then feed her and now I'm being told that i am underfeeding her.

Thank you so much for your reassurances and advice. xxx

I think I'm not feeding her properly

Hi everyone - I'm not sure if I am feeding my LO properly - please help as I am beginning to get really concerned:
1. I am still breastfeeding however, at nights DH feeds her (express milk) the thing is I only pour 4oz's in the bottle - 80% of the time she drinks all and 20% she leaves back maybe 1/2 oz. She gets this bottle anytime between 9-11 - noting she wakes up 4-5hrs later for another feed. The thing is I have just read that she should be drinking between 6-8oz's each time - which is really scary - I feel like I have been under feeding her.

2. Secondly, I'm not sure if I'm weaning right - I've started to give her tasters of food - bannana, marshed potatoes, carrots, porridge, grapes - however she just has about 2-3 of her baby spoon and refuses the rest by making a funny face and yuck (sounds like) noises.
I give her solids (although its pureed - not sure why its called solids - sorry if I sound clueles) about 3 times a week as I'm not sure if she is ready as she only has so little.

She will be 5months next week and I'm reading that most of your little darlings are having a full on 2-3 meals a day. I feel like I'm a bit behind and dont understand what I'm I doing wrong.

Your Advice, suggestions, help needed :\? :\?

p.s. - I had her weighed yesterday and she is weighing 7.4kg

Kaitlyn is 20 weeks today. We've only just started her on an 8.30pm-8.30am routine.

She hates lying on her back for long unless its in her baby gym where she keeps swatting and pulling the hanging toys. She loves tummy time and worms her way off the gym unto the carpet.

She does the airplane when she is on her tummy for long - part of her chest and some of her tummy off the floor.

She gigles allot and laughs out when I make silly faces or kisses her on her neck.

She sits up for about 5-10 seconds and then keels over on her side or face. She pushes her self up as if she is doing situps - she does this in her car seat, swing and if I prop her up on a pillow while im getting dress.

She babbles allot and screals at the top off her voice as though she is singing and when I join in with her she stops for a second and then tries to go louder than me - so we end up having a screal out session (I only do this when we are home) and loves to stand up and walk around (offcourse I'm holding her and walking with her)

She is yet to do a 8-12 hr stretch without having a feed - She gets a feed at 10-11pm and then at 4.30am and then wakes at 8.30am.

Has not even attempted to rollover.

I have been giving her tasters - but is yet to start weaning fully as I find it differcult to feed her on my lap.
