Eeeekk!!
I still haven't got the crib or the matress, need to get a move on or my poor little one won't have anywhere to sleep!! Plus I need to get my bag packed too. Thanks for giving me the kick up the bum I needed to get going! x

So so sad about my labour news

Keep us posted Annika. I have found out that my little one is breech and I'm feeling a bit sad at the idea of a c-section too. I've been spending lots of time on all fours (which hubby thinks is hilarious  ) and I'm hoping baby will turn soon. x

Birth plan?

Thanks everyone!
I think I'll definitely be writing down my plan just to get the ideas in my head, but will try to keep it brief. Good advice about discussing with hubs so that he can communicate for me when I am scamming in agony!!

@Annika, when I went to the midwife last week, my little one was breech so I have a feeling my plan might go out the window too. Will be a bit sad if I have to have a c- section, but as long as the baby is healthy, then birth plans and c- sections don't matter!

How long will baby sleep in your room?

Thanks again for all the tips ladies. It's good to hear what other people are doing and reassuring that everyone is so different. I guess each baby (and mummy) are different and we all end up doing what suits us best. x

Discomfort down below, sorry if tmi....

It sounds like thrush but it's definitely worth seeing your doctor to rule out infection.

Also if it is thrush you and your partner could be passing it back and forth during sex which might be why your symptoms keep reappearing.

Don't be embarrassed to see the doctor, I know it sounds like a cliche but they've seen it all before! x

Thanks for all the advice- wonder woman I'm sure we'd all love to hear about the baby hammock!

Sounds like each baby is different and I'll wait and see what happens.

From the sounds of it, Moses baskets don't last long- has anyone had a rocking crib? Are they any bigger and do you think they would last a bit longer than a Moses basket? x

Thanks ladies, that's really helpful. Even though I have no experience, I was thinking that a year sounded too long!
Think I will buy a crib or Moses basket as that will fit in our room and then depending on how the little one feeds and sleeps, decide when to put them in the cot in their own room.

So exciting to think that our little ones will be here soon!

Thanks ladies, that's so helpful. I suppose each baby is different and it depends on how they feed and sleep.
Think I will buy a Moses basket for the first few months as it will fit in our room and then see how it goes.

Thanks for sharing ladies. It's nice to see what you experienced mummies are putting in your plans. x

Hello again!

Has anyone written a birth plan? Have you shared it with your midwife and was she supportive? x
