Ladies, I have just read your thread and want to say I admire your strength in what must be the most horrific situation. My sincere condolences to you all. It must however be great to have support from each other. I have shed a few tears to see that two of you now have your bfp!! Such wonderful news. I wish you lots of sticky baby dust xxxxx

Got letter from lo's nursery today :(

It's so hard leaving them to go back to work. My eldest ds was six months and time is racing on to when I will have to leave my youngest ds. In fact tomorrow I have to go to work as aeons off and someone is looking after them both and I feel sad about that! My only advice is get them settled plenty of time before you go back so that your happy that they are happy otherwise you won't focus at work. Be prepared that they pick up every germ at first so you may have to take time off to look after them if they get sick ( which they will!). The advantage at this age is that they don't suffer from seperation anxiety. That comes around nine months. No harm in taking a favourite cuddly toy in that smells of home and their sleeping bag to help them feel secure.
Good luck it will get easier I promise! X

Just to say hi!

Ah best of luck with the birth! Thanks for replying. I love seeing how others are getting on as sone days I feel like I am sinking! Think it's to be expected. I must admit I think spring summer babies are easier. It tajes forever to get all the clothing on my toddler so that he is warm and then do the same for the baby. At least in summer it's just sunscreen that's needed. The snow has made for difficult days as it's been so icy and the buggy is so heavy with them both that I have not wanted to go out. But that day passes you just learn to get through them. Have some wine on standby for the evening!
Routine is what keeps me sane. That's my top tip! Get into one asap!

Bed guards

Hi,
just wanted to ask for your opinion on how you went about moving your toddler into a bed. My ds is 21 months and I will need the cot he us in for my other ds who is rapidly out growing the crib! I already have a standard bed which I would prefer to use rather than buy a toddler bed. Has anyone else used a standard bed? If so what guards did you use? Do you think it's too soon to move my toddler?
Thanks x

weight loss

Posted: 25/11/2010 at 19:46
With my first the weight started to disappear at around six months. It was strange how I did not change my diet etc but the weight went. A lot if my friends also experienced this. It's not wise to diet if your feeding as it affects the milk. The body apparently will hang onto the extra weight as this is what it stored ready for breast feeding. Maybe that's why it started going after six months even though I stopped feeding at three??!
It will go in time! X

Residual numbness after c-sec

I have it as well. Guess it's normal. Does anyone have lumps or soreness further up where the skin was streched? Doctor said it was normal but I am not convinced x
