Blimey Fran and Foofan, you have got some seriously chunky monkeys!!

Had Flo weighed today and she was 15lb10oz at 14.5 weeks so pretty chunky too, although mostly very long. THanks ladies for posting about bottles and ounces. Because I still feed FLo then top her up, I've got no idea how much she gets from me but your posts give me an idea of what she would be having was she fully ff. I just wish she'd take more during the day then stop waking in the night but I just can't force any more down her. May have to give the next stage teats a go...

May be time for a photo update from us all soon, I want to see all these chunky monkeys! X

Brilliant Sponge Bobby! You must be thrilled that he's doing so well. How many feeds does he have per day and how much?

I think our babies were born on the same day? (27/8)and Flo was 13lb11oz 3 weeks ago so probably quite similar to Oliver now. She was nearly 9lb at birth so he's doing really well.

Just a quick questions while I think of it. Which bottles do you use and which teat flow size is Oliver on? I'm trying to decide whether to go up to the next size at the moment...

IT's great that you sound so happy xxx

If I remember right, you're ff SB? With my son, my period came back exacly 5 weeks after I stopped expressing (was mix feeding til 13 weeks) then continued every 5 weeks from then.

This time, we've been topping up with formula since day 5 and for the last month, I'd say she's having 80% formula. I bled longer this time (til about 5 weeks) and have had a couple of episodes of some pinky discharge but not sure if that was a period? I'm hoping it won't come back til I've fully stopped breastfeeding!

I wouldn't worry, or is there a chance you could be pregnant? If you are concerned, perhaps mention it to your gp or hv xxx

Have I done the right thing - dummy

I wouldn't worry hun, you did what you needed to do to get by and with 3 kids, there's no wonder! Flo's the same in that she wouldn't take one in the early days and settles fine now without but if things change, I will be giving her one.

DS has one still at 20 months, only for naps and bed and I do wish he didn't but it's going to be a nightmare to get it off him. It's when I see 4 year olds out with them during the day that it bugs me, surely they don't need it? (sorry if anyone's 3/4 year olds have dummys, it's just my opinion.)

Your OH will have to deal with your decision, like you say, he's not the one doing 10+ weeks of night feeds! x

Mummies with 2+...

Sounds like things are going well Candimum. I can absolutely sympathise with the breastfeeding though. I've had supply issues and up until 7 weeks persevered with the bf and she fed ALL the time (ie: no breaks between feeds!) it just wasn't fair on my DS and she was dropping centiles so we now mix feed. Actually, that has probably been the biggest challenge for us so far, so well done you for sticking with it. xx

Aw hun, sorry to hear Megan's having a tough time. It is understandable with her having you to herself for so long, must be a big change but exhausting for you!

Abby sounds like a good baby, bet you love your days with her while Megan's at school. Mon and Tues are so quiet and easy when it's just me and Flo. I didn't even leave the house yesterday, just hung out with her and did some jobs around the house while she slept. Think I even got to have a cup of tea!

DS just kind of plays around Flo at the moment, sometimes throwing something at her and shouting 'catch!' but I think he'll find it harder when she's more interactive and wants to play with 'his' toys. He's like Megan though, it really makes him smile when she's smiling and cooing - he looks like a real proud big brother!

dry skin cream for a sensitive baby face?

Posted: 08/11/2011 at 14:15
I would definitely use olive oil, it helped Flo with her dry skin. Also Have used some left over organic sunflower oil I had from baby massage with DS.

My favourite cream to buy is the Johnson's naturals range. I use their intensive cream in a tube as moisturiser when I've run out of mine lol!

Hope it clears up soon hun xxx
