Chatting for a long time before going to sleep

Posted: 30/05/2011 at 08:57
Hiya,
My ds 24 months has been doing the same for quite sometime, used to be out cold after his milk but now not a chance. its so cute and sometimes funny to listen to but annoying us aswell, as his bedtime is now getting later even tho we still put him down at 7.45 as we always have, some nites he will sing and chat away until 8.45
At least he just then falls asleep then tho and they dont need us to get them to sleep. We have resorted to turning the monitor down low so we can actaully hear the telly

How will you deal with the clocks going forward?

Posted: 14/03/2011 at 08:35
All i do is put ds to bed 15mins either earlier or later(dep on spring/autum) every nite on the week leading up to the clocks changing and it has worked so far (ds 2 in may)
a late nite for the 2nites leading up to the clock change works for some friends i have.
good luck x

Hi all,
My DS is 15months and we are going to take him to Spain for 10 nights next month.
Its the first time out of the country and although he is probably the most mild mannered baby iv ever met im worried about lots of things.
We are going to our own place so we dont have to worry about hotels etc but i do need to buy a cot (getting a proper one to leave there once we arrive) and a highchair/booster seat, ther is an Ikea about 45mins away from our place so going there for those unless someone knows if Carrefour sells them??
Im going to lisy my main conserns, any advice would be appreiciated greatly.
1- Early flight, we have to be at the airport at 5am,my boy likes his sleep(neva wakes before 7.30am) - do I wait untill the last minute before i put him in the car in his pjs and take clothes with me and give breakfast at the airport and dress him or wake him, feed him and get him dressed as if its the normal time then go??
2 - suitcase, it says he is allowed 10kgs,so should i just get a small hand luggage type case for his things?
3 - buggy at the airport what happens with it?? can i keep it until we board?
4- Any tips for the flight would be very helpfull,he has just stopped breastfeeding so cant offer that during takeoff/landing.
5- once there is any type of bottled water safe to give him??
6- tips for the beach/sun welcome
7-food, he does eat everything but im not sure how to get around ordering stuff for him or taking a sandwich just incase.
8- can i tske medicines sealed in my suitcase, ie calpol, diorolyte?
Sorry iv not been nurotic for some months but im feeling it taking over, i hate new things.
Im sure i will come back reporting all went well as he is never fussed by anything, its just his silly Mummy!
Thanks for letting me waffle if nothing else x

naps at 13 months?

Posted: 11/08/2010 at 17:07
Hi, my boy has always been a fab sleeper but a similar thing happened so i cut out his afternoon nap,he now has a bedtime of 7.30/7.45pm and wakes anything between 7.15 and 8am, but he has to be asleep at 11.15am or he just melts down he has usually 1.5/2hrs like clockwork,on a good day he can do 2.5hrs,bliss!!
He manages no matter how long he has btween the 1.5/2.5hrs naps until bedtime, unless we are in the car around4ish then he will sneak in a little one but no longer than 15mins as i wake him up lol x

Toddler diarrhoea?

Hiya,
Cant really help but my DS had this at 12months old for about 6/7weeks, just started up and went on as you describe.
We gave 2 stool samples, both returned clear,i ended up keeping him in pjs as it leaked out all day and clothes were getting ruined.
He did lose tons of weight but he didnt gain during this time and i thought he looked pale but he behaved as normal.
This maybe tmi but it stunk rotten like sewers, and it was very watery with food all in it and he cud do it up to as you say 10times daily.
All i can say is it just stopped out of nowhere one day, and i had to cancell the peadiatric appointment id demanded!!
I think sometimes we just never know the causes.
Hope it soon clears x

Can you recommend me a booster / travel highchair please?

Posted: 08/06/2010 at 06:38
we have two, one is a fisher price healthy care booster chair and we love it,we can fit it under the pram for walks/picnics too, it has legs to adjust the height and straps to chairs easly, its suitable from 6 months, i got it off amazon (best price) our other one is just as good just cheaper and maybe it shows a little, but it fine and i like it is the deluxe fold up booster seat from babysrus, that has all the saome features and is slightly less bulky that was ??19.99 .Both have trays + removable ones for when they r older

Hiya,
I used my breathing and NOTHING ELSE!
I FEEL LIKE WONDER WOMAN LOL.
I totally zoned out ignored everything just closed my eyes and went with it, i just concentrated fully on breathing in SLOWly and breathing out SLOWER and DEEPER,i really made sure i kept all my body as relaxed as poss wen i got a contraction even floppy and just allowed my hand to SQUEEZE the crap out of my hubbys hand.
Seroiusly it hurt yes but i enjoyed labour and i wud do it just the same again if poss x x
