im 38 (39 in nov)i was on the pill for about 10 yrs came off the pill in march'08 and had really long cycles for a whole year then got my BFP in april this year and im now due on 16th jan'10.:\) :\) :\)

hi all i dont know if ne1 on here remembers me,we ve been ttc since a year last april n in all that time i wasnt even sure if i was still ouvulating as im 38 n since comin off the pill last april i ve had really long cycles average cd was 50+.

last af i had was end of march which was terrible i spotted on n off for the whole of march then af arrived 26th march n was so heavy i had 2 go 2 docs n they gave me transanemic acid tabs 2 slow down the flow(sorry tmi).which stopped it completely within 3 days. in the meantime i had a scan done to find out wot was goin on with long cycles n spotting. this was on 20 april n the next day my docs rung 2 say that they thought they had found a small polyp in my womb n would send me an appt to gynaecologist. but stiill waitin for letter :\(

anyway in the meantime no af n i was gettin all manner of symptoms ;sore bbs,chronic heartburn, funny taste in mouth.this was goin on for bout 3 wks then yest i did 2 asda hpt n got BFP i cudnt believe my eyes lol even tho i had loads of symptoms lol. did a cbd n it said 2 -3 wks(4-5 wks)this morn.im now wondering whether this polyp was actually the egg sac that radio grapher saw ????????????? im so excited :lol: its only just sinking in now.just thought i spread a bit of pma n babydust to all n especially ppl with long cycles :\) :\) :\)

thanx ttc2009,doc mentioned ovary scan n maybe another scan but not sure wot the other scan wud be,wish id asked doc to explain more.but i was just relieved that maybe now i mite find out wots happenin with my damn body as i ve had irregular afs since last april when i come off pill.also as im now 38 i feel i need 2 get a move on b4 my eggs get past their sell by date if u know wot i mean.
