I pm'd Smoochiegal but haven't been added yet and can also only see that group so didn't know whether to add myself?

What would you do?

I've been bleeding for 2 and a half weeks now. It was a lot at first so did go to a&e and had scan and there was a heartbeat. The midwives say it can be normal and to call them if it gets worse or there is pain. Obviously this doesn't stop us worrying, but just to say it can be normal.

Nuchal Scan/ Combined test - anybody having or had before?

Remember too that when you're pregnant such small things can become big issues. I did it when I was last pregnant and thought I would not be like that this time, but things just churn around my head (I've been bleeding heavily and had to have a scan last week - there was a heartbeat so all ok for the mo, but does that stop me worrying?). The hormones are powerful things so this will also play on your mind.

We paid for private one last time as they didn't do it on NHS till 16 weeks and it was low risk so not sure how it works. Gonna have the NHS one at 12 weeks with my scan so we'll see what happens.

Lots of people have said they got high risk results and did have babies that were fine. Remember its based on lots of factors. I do understand that you must be worried though.

Hope you're ok. I had to go to A&E last week as bleeding heavily. They did blood tests and all was ok so sent me home as they couldn't do scan till next day. Scan thank god showed heartbeat but it was a worrying time. I'm still bleeding although a lot less and midwives just say try not to worry it can happen in early weeks.

Hiya,

Good idea. The DIO 2010 fb group is really good and is private so nobody sees it apart from members.

Hoping things sort themselves out but whatever you do take time to think things through and be aware that your hormones will make things so much worse, so just give yourself time.

That's good news. Did you pay for scan privately?
