i had young student midwives for mine when i went in after 10 hrs of contractions they said your only 1-2 so go home and come back. was home 45 mins and then had to go back down. she was nearly born in the car luckily we got there and 17mins later she was born. when they checked me they must of done a sweep before sending me home! when i mentioned this to my community mw she said as a 2nd time mum they shouldnt of sent me home as labours are quicker!! lol!!

totally gatecrashing!!
my little man was 2 days early and then my little lady was 2 days late and i only think she came out then because i had a sweep!! lol!!

good luck and i hope she doesnt keep you waiting. baby girls are amazing. so are boys though!!

oh and watch out for the sea of pink clothes you will be bought!! people go crazy!! lol!!

Changed his mind!!

men are such numptys!!
when we had ethan we decided that one was enough!! life plodded on and we had a rough time but sorted it out! then in 2008 i got really broody! like beyond fixable!! lol!! he said if we were to have another baby we had to get married first but i could still have the coil out! so in nov 08 i had my coil out and booked the wedding. may 09 got married and still wasnt pregnant. this is when he decides to tell me actually he really doesnt want another one. aug 09 i get my coil back in and the rows continue!! in the end on christmas day he says look if you want to have a baby you have to catch me out so in the new year i booked to have it removed and in may 10 fell pregnant!! lol!!
he loves his little princess now and wouldnt change her for the world!!
the point of the story is if you want another baby in a year or 2 or whenever in the future you will prob find that he will do anything to make his wife happy. as you said you do everything anyway so it will make no difference to him!
i can 20000000000% say i do not want anymore babies and i am complete with my 2 babies!! lol!!

anyway! hope you a little harry are doing well and daniel is being as good as a toddler can be! lol!

i have the tt steraliser and i have just got some citric acid off ebay for 99p!!
i cannot find any instructions on google as to how much to use and how to do it.
can anyone help?

reflux/infant gaviscon question!

Hi

my little girl is 20 wks and was diagnosed yesterday with reflux.
we were prescribed infant gaviscon which has worked a treat and she has not been sick at all so its doing its job.
2 questions really
1) is it normal for her to have really dry poo and go more often plus have really sore red bum, and
2) as she is not being sick she doesnt want as much milk, is this normal

dont worry about outfits as people will buy you loads!! baby will be in babygros for the majority of the first few weeks!!

also dont stress set your self an action plan of bits and bobs to get and you will get there!!

re not being entitled to anything have you looked into maternity allowance? look on direct gov website!!

preparing night feed bottles.....

i steralise the bottles and then pour about 2/3 of feed ofthe cool boiled water in all the bottles and leave at room temp. when i need a bottle i boil fresh water and add to the bottle and then add the powder. i have done this from birth and never had any probs. (she has 9oz so i pour in 7oz and then top up to 9oz at the feed!!)
when my son was born (hes now 6) i used to make the bottles fully cool and then put in fridge and he was fine.
you will find your own routine of what works for you hun.
my lo was more than happy to drink room temp bottles too!!
