Holidays 2011

Posted: 15/02/2011 at 09:35
We're going on a Caravan holiday at Easter and then hopefully camping with loads of family in the summer, we're doing lots of decorating this year and we've just bought a new car so can't really afford a big holiday this year although it will probably end up costing us just as much going on holiday in England.
We're hoping to go abroad next year though.

He doesn't often cry it's only if he's really tired he does, he often puts his hand on one side of his head, rubs his eyes and in the evening he does like a drinking motion(which he does in the day to tell you he is hungry) with his mouth tell us it's time for his bath and his bottle.
Noah goes down between 6 and 7 (sometimes it gets to 5.30 and you know he's getting ready for bed!) and sleeps through till 7-8 sometimes later at the weekend.
He then has a nap about 9.30 till 11ish and then another nap about 1.30-2.30ish.

Lovely to hear everyone is doing well...
Noah is an amazing, happy, chilled out little boy. He loves his sleep and thats the only time he ever really gets upset when he wants to go to sleep and then you just lay him down, give him his blanket or Geoffery(his giraffe) and he'll just drop off.
He loves his food, he has been weening since 16 weeks, we've just started finger food and he loves that too. He loves homemade fruit and veg rather than jars which he will eat but doesn't really enjoy them.
He loves to be on his feet and loves being sung too, his fav song is row row. He can sit up but usually leans too far and ends up falling over.
He loves to lay on the floor on his back on his mat and you will often find him half way over the other side on the room, although he can't quite roll over yet. He's not so keen on tummy time and perfers to be on his back.

If you are suffering with depression are you sure it's wise to have another baby? (not being nasty just thinking of things you need to ask yourself if you haven't already)

Have you asked Cam how he feels about having another brother or sister that would be sharing his room eventually?

Surely being able to afford the space is put of being able to afford another baby, so if you can't afford the space can you afford another baby?

I don't mean to offend with these question, just giving you things to think about.

I'd love another, we live in a 3 bed house (at the minute we're probably in negative equity so can't afford to move), we have 2 children one of each and currently they have a room each.
Hubby wont have anymore until we can move house, when he was at home he shared a room with his younger brother (hubby is 4 years older than his brother) and as much as he loved sharing with his brother, he would of loved his own space especially when he got to the teenage stage. So it's not looking likely that we will have anymore.
(He also panics about how ill I get and how scary our labours are)

To be honest if the only thing stopping you is space then go for it!

Hi Ladies - Can I Vent?

I think that you can ring or email citizen advice http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/

Would your local council help you out with housing or something?
Or your mum and dad?

I'd deffo go with a contact centre as well so that you have peace of mind but from what you have said he probably wont be bothered anyway. Make sure you go through the chanels to get him to pay for this child, let's face it you have both suffered because of him having to pay for his kids back in Kenya!

Good luck hun and remember you are worth more than that x

Weaning question

Posted: 31/01/2011 at 12:17
With weening it just depends on your baby.
If she takes to it well just increase the ammount she has slightly and then if she's still doing well after that, after about a week go to 2 meals and if she's still doing well go to 3 meals after another week. But remember there are no set rules just go with what she's happy with. If it's a month before she'll take 2 meals a day don't worry just keep trying and make it a fun and nice time rather than worring

The spoon thing I would imagine ment 1 spoon of stuff and then add the milk.

Favourite toys?

Posted: 31/01/2011 at 07:48
Noah loves his Lamaze Octotunes (which smells amazing!) and Captain Calamari. He's also got a driving toy that you attatch to the pushchair etc (we put it on his bouncy chair) he'll spend ages driving it. He loves laying on his activity mat too.
He loves to go out on his bike.
But basically anything that can in his mouth is a hit especially babywipes lol x
