I am on the same boat, not had period since dd was born 7 weeks ago. We had unprotected sex twice but stopped before climax, and have had protected sex since. But I had a dream I was pregnant and now I am paranoid.Especially as everyone round me is falling pregnant so its making me worse. I will be glad when my period arrives. I'm going to take a test tomorrow to put my mind at ease. That will teach us!! xx

how is everyone coping? Particularly 2nd time moms

I'm with you all on this one. Hubby goes back to work on Monday and it will be my first day on my own. I have dd1 to be at the school bus stop for 8am, so I will need to have all 3 of us ready for then. I have hormonal days where I cry easy but I know its just tiredness. I also feel guilty if I am being snappy with dd1. I'll just need to wait and see how things go on Monday, anyway chin up ladies, it should get easier when lo's get a bit older and get into some kind of routine and start sleeping for longer at nights. Then we won't be so tired and knarky lol. xx

My belated BA

Hi ladies,
I haven't been on in a while so I just want to announce the arrival of my new baby daughter Niamh, she was born on 31st December at 2.53am. Daddy and big sister and I are all very chuffed with her. It was a quick delivery, I started getting contractions at 12, got to hospital at 1.30 and had her just before 3. I had gas and air and a pretty straight forward birth apart from a tear. She weighed 8lbs10oz, and after initially dropping to 8lbs40z, she got weighed yesterday and is back to her birth weight.

Congratulations to all the other December ladies with babies, I'm looking forward to eventually getting caught up with all the news xx

Over due club

Hi,
I'm going to join the overdue club too. EDD was 24th december, so I am now 40+3, and no sign of baby. Hubby, dd and I are fed up waiting, especially after a few false alarms. Last tuesday midwife put me on the machine that registers movement and heartbeat, it showed I was contracting every 5 mins. She was so convinced I would be going that night she asked if I had my bag with me, 2 VE's, and near enough a week later I'm still here!I had dd at 39 weeks, so expected to go early this time aswell. Hubby and I have tried everything, I was even playing twister on xmas day!! Midwife is due out on hogmanay to do a sweep if I want. I'm hoping baby comes before then, but no niggles, just sore back. Fingers crossed we go soon. Who is all left in here?? xx

Is This Mean?

DD has woodchip in her room, as like you when we bought house we prioritised what needed done, so we painted over the top of it and put down cheapo carpet. DD actually loves her room, its pink and white with heart curtains, bedding etc. I am glad we put down cheap carpet as with her arts and crafts stuff etc it gets manky, some of the pen marks won't come out even after shampooing!! With bumps room we stripped the woodchip and lined the walls then painted over the top. We have just kept the cream carpet thats there from when we moved in (cleaned of course), as when bump is older we will redecorate when it moves away from the 'baby'stage. So it would be a waste of money spending a fortune in decor they will soon grow out of iyswim? Don't worry, you aren't the only one with manky woodchip, my house was covered when I moved in, and mostly still is!!

bfp without symptoms?

Posted: 20/12/2010 at 05:03
I fell pregnat with bump first month off the pill, I had no pg symptoms before testing, I actually had af symptoms, achey lower back and discharge (sorry if tmi), and I only tested because af hadn't shown. I never got any symptoms until I was 6 weeks pg when morning sickness kicked in. Good luck

MFS 39+3 xx

ouchy lady bits (tmi), and a question for the new mummies

Posted: 20/12/2010 at 04:35
thanks ladies, I'm still here. I have been cleaning, and cooking and shopping but still no sign of bubs. I have some backache and hip pain, but no sure signs I wish I had a crystal ball so I could see when bubs will arrive, I will feel so bad if I am not there for dd on xmas morning. The midwife told me to bd (can I call it that now? lol) as sperm contains a hormone thats in the pessary they use to start you in hospital, but no joy.

ouchy lady bits (tmi), and a question for the new mummies

Is anyone getting or had really sore pains in their ladybits? I actually yelped in the street it was so sore!! :cry:Very unglam, lol.

A question for all the ladies that have just had their babies, was their any sign you were about to go into labour other than the obvious waters breaking, mucus plug etc? With dd I don't remember having any signs, my waters didn't break, no plug, just woke up to backache contractions. So I'm looking for signs it could be soon, but not sure what to look for. I'm getting fed up waddling about with the spd, heartburn and really swollen ankles. And yes, I am a moan

Lastly, a MASSIVE congratulations to all the ladies who have just had their babies, sending lots of (( hugs )) your way xx
