BABY'S NAME & DOB: Freddie - born 20th May 2010
HOW ARE YOU FINDING MOTHERHOOD: I Love it though it is very hard work with a demanding nearly 3 year old aswell.
WHAT IS YOUR BABY UP TO?: Freddie is very active and will be in a completely different place to where you leave him, part of this I think is that he tries to be near Lily, who is his favourite form of entertainment and will just sit and watch her for hours (she does like performing to an audience so it suits her!) Will sit up in his ball pit, but prefers to be in his walker (only goes backwards) or door bouncer. Blowing raspeberries seems to be his favourite thing to do at the moment. He also sleeps from 8.30-8.30 which for me is perfect but expecting that to change when the clocks go back. Freddie is constantly babbling away though he'll rarly get a word in with Lily around.
HOW IS WEANING GOING: Great, Freddie is now on 3 meals a day and 3 bottles. Generally has a gluten free baby cereal for breakfast, homemade veg puree and fruit for lunch, then more fruit and half a jar/pouch for dinner as I want him to get a good mix of both shop bought and my cooking. Will be laying off meat, egg, gluten & citrus fruits until 6 months.
WHATS YOUR BABY'S FAVOURITE TOY: At the moment his baby walker, but he still loves his playmat & his little yellow giraffe.
PLANS TO GO BACK TO WORK: Am going back 3 days a week on 24th Jan, then starting college hopefully next year for my access course, money permitting it'll be full time over 1 year if not it'll be part time for 2 as I wanna become a midwife.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH YOUR BABY?: Mondays morning its baby yoga, Wednesdays we meet with the girls from my postnatal group with Lily (6 of the 8 now have a baby under 7 months aswell), Friday Lily has tumble tots then we usually go to a surestart centre with friends. We take them both swimming at least every other saturday aswell.
ANY PLANS FOR NUMBER 2 (OR 3 OR 4)?: I am currently happy with the 2 I have, my boy and girl and if we have anymore it will be after I am a midwife so at least 5/6yr gap even then I will only be 31 or 32.
