When will the yearning stop!?!?!?

Posted: 13/02/2009 at 05:56
Oh I'm so glad I'm not alone. I'm feeling a little calmer today hubbie got me in a right tizz yesterday when he said about trying for another baby. I'd been trying to suppress the urge and thinking well even if I want one he wouldn't so was a little shocked to say the least.. I'm sure we'll have more but we've just bought a house and we didn't get the best mortgage deal but broker advised go for it because it was our last chance for a while to get any mortgage bloody credit crunch! So we need to keep finances in check and proof of income for both so we can remortgage as soon as market turns so we can't do anything for atleast a year but as soon as I sign on the dotted line of our remortgage we'll be trying ooooohhhhh I can't wait I hate having to be the responsible one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When will the yearning stop!?!?!?

Hi my god it's been along time since I was on here last, I've been avoidng because of the following problem. I'm broody not just a little but to the point that it makes me feel physically sick because of the yearning feeling deep in the pit of my stomach. I already have 3 children, my oldest is 13, then 7 and my youngest is 15 months. I didn't feel like this after the first 2 but since my youngest was born I can't shift this need to have another. I think it's because it was an easy pregnancy and he's an absolute joy in every way but we can't have another because of money, money, money. I've been trying to ignore the feeling and then this morning my OH decided to say that he wouldn't mind if we got pregnant again in fact he'dd love it so the balls in my court I'm not strong enough to be the responsible one, but I have to be  Please tell me it will stop :\?

Breastfeeding & ...

Posted: 02/01/2008 at 07:51
periods? Hi ladies and babies Happy New Year!! Hope you all had a wonderful christmas & new years. I'm in need of some advise I'm still breastfeeding Morgan who is now 7 weeks old and I have yet not had a period. I BF daughter and I'm sure I had one by 6 weeks. We haven't been using any contraception partly because we don't do it that much and secondly because BF is suppose to be a good form of contraception. I've googled BF & periods but responses are abit wishy washy with all sites saying anything is the norm. I was wondering what every1 elses experiences had been?

Oh I feel like I've waited ages to write this, here it goes....well after waiting 10 days pass my due date I woke Tuesday morning and resigned myself to the knowledge that I would be induced on Thursday. Got up went and took daughter to school and felt absolutely fine. Hubbie had coincidently decided to take day off just so we could spend some time together, lucky he did!! At 11am started having contractions every 5 mins lasting 30secs, they were instantly painful and then eased off, different from what I'd had before where they'd built up to a peak and then eased away. Didn't think anything of them because I thought they needed to last longer to actually do anything so was convinced they'd stop. Woke Hubbie at 1.20pm from his nap to tell him that I was having pains but not to get to excited because they could all stop. Rang Hosp at 2pm they said as long as I was fine to come in and be checked about 5pm. By 3.10pm contractions were coming every 3 mins but still only lasting 30secs but were more intense, so rang hosp to ask if I could come in to be checked earlier. 4pm MIL popped into to see me before I left she was horrified by the fact that contractions were now coming about every min and half and felt we should get an ambulance but I was still sure that because they hadn't got any longer that I had ages to go so got in car. This was unbearable because I had been standing every since first contraction because it was uncomfortable sitting down. 4.15pm waters broke in car and for the first time I thought maybe I'd left it abit late and he was going to come in the car. Pulled up outside hosp at 4.20pm lucky got parking space just by the door Hubbie practically carried me through the door wet jeans and all!!!!! A man held lift for us and stood quietly in the corner of the lift looking quite scared. arrived in triage room at 4.30pm m/w said I was 8cm I said no way I need to push and 4.44 Morgan was born weighing 8lb. Couldn't believe how fast it was hubbie said the m/w had a look of panic on her face as she was trying to get gloves and packs open before he popped out. The funniest and scariest experience of my life but well worth every bit. Lisa & Morgan almost 3 days old

Looks like I'm going over my due date

I can totally sympathise Morgwick I'm 10 days over my due date now and unfortunately due to a stomach bug at 35 weeks which started contractions have been off work since then it feels like a lifetime. I'm being induced Thursday after two failed membrane sweeps, have felt reaaly down because I was expecting him early or atleast on time especially after the initial scare. Hope you go soon have you started trying all the old wives tales yet? I've exhausted everyone. Have m/w mentioned a sweep to you? Lisa 41+3 weeks xxx

I wouldn't worry about not having sex around the time of ov, the month we concieved we had some very early on in cycle, nothing through the supposed peak time and a little more at the end, like they say it only takes the once!! Good luck and well done resisting testing again I was obsessed with re-testing like a spoilt child!
