What is an implantation bleed like??

Posted: 13/10/2010 at 06:30
Morning everyone,

Some of you may know me already so "Hello" and those who don't a huge "Hello" too

A bit of history first...

I already have twin boys and a daughter with my husband. We had been trying for another baby for 14 months when we got our much awaited BFP back in February of this year. Sadly little beanie wasn't meant to be and we lost her (I had an overwhelming feeling we were expecting a girl) at 8 weeks.

My cycle returned to normal quite quickly and by May I was back to my previous 28 day cycle. We decided to start trying again in July but to take a laid back approach - no ovulation tracking etc etc.

Prior to losing beanie I had been ovulating anywhere from CD10 to CD16 - but the average was cd14 and normally a 28 day cycle with the odd blip....

So, here is my query...

CD1 was 25/09....I have no idea of ov date as we are not tracking... Today is CD18 and I have light pink and rust coloured discharge when I wipe (sorry tmi) only a small amount and not enough to wear a liner as it is only when I wipe. Af isn't due until 24/10 (based on 28 day cycle)

Could this possibly be implantation bleeding and if so when would I be able to take a HPT?

Sorry for the essay but I thought it was important to give you a history too

Oh No Laujai!! Nasty evil, horrible, awful insensitive cow AF  *hoists baseball bat above head and delivers a massive blow to the dark evil one and threatens not to return for another 10 months!*

So sorry she got you hunni, I can't believe it...after your symptoms as well - they were really promising! :\( I know there is nothing that will console you right now but I'll leave you loads of ((((_))))) and the thought that we are all here to shout and scream at and to laugh and cry with.

Huni - (don't believe I'm saying this) glad the witch turned up for you and gave you some sort of closure - onwards for you to March! You and Lau are gonna crack it next cycle!!

Congrats Mrs Dao! Sneaking in there with a very quiet announcement

Well, 4+4 today and I'm still having awful cramps - aside from that I have no other symptoms, (.) (.) are not sore, I have no nausea, I am drinking more & peeing more but I think thats down to trying to get rid of the cramps rather than an actual symptom.

I still havent ventured into pregnancy or into DIO cos I'm terrified! :\( I haven't even updated on TTC apart from a sporadic comment or two - no announcement and not even updated the BFP jan feb list.
What is wrong with me? I should be over the moon and shouting from the rooftops - but aside from hubs and best friend (and all of you frequenting this thread) I haven't told anyone!

I'm scared, I'm absolutely terrified that this is not happening, it doesn't feel right iykwim? Tried explaining it to hubs last night and he just replied "hormones" with a

Does anyone understand? What can I do to get over this? I want to be happy, I want to be screaming from the rooftops, I want to ....

I have no idea really - I just don't feel right :\(

Did I OV? Do I believe CM or BBT?

Hi Lolly,

Had to reply to this as it sounds like what you've had this morning is a classic fallback temp and nothing to worry about. I generally have a fallback temp at either 3 or 4 dpo and it has never done me any harm..

I got my BFP last week (though wasn't temping last cycle - so it can't be a concern

Anyway - going on what you have written I would also say you ov'd on 14/02, your temp rise of 0.3 on 15th would confirm this along with your cm..can I ask what your temps were on Monday & Tuesday? Were they also higher? And then the temp dip yesterday? If so, I think you ov'd on 14th

I've just had a very quick google of the fallback - here's a link

http://babymed.com/FAQ/Content.aspx?13750

I'd say you are in your 2ww and are presently 4dpo Good luck for testing on 02/03!! xxxx

Hi rainbow,

he is a sweetie isn't he?! Bless him!! He's gone to work this morning beaming from ear to ear with strict instructions to tell not a single soul!!

yeah right, he'll come home and it'll have "slipped out" to someone!

I am drinking water like it's going to be extinct in the very near future, and weeing for england also. I have been (TMI!) a little constipated so maybe it's that. I am a little way behind you (4+1). Can't say I remember the cramps so bad with my others though :\?

Think I'll stick around here and not go wandering into pregnancy or DIO just yet.... Also did you do a CBD? when could I expect to get 2-3 weeks? Sorry for the q's and the panic stations type messages, these cramps are throwing me a loop

hubs is absolutely livid that the driver may not be insured - our no claims are not protected...so it's something we may well have to suck up....having said that though we were on about having a new car at some point this year so we may well just get the new car sooner and not bother with claiming on the insurance for ours and sell it as it is....

Think we will decide after the police have rung today. I'm not overly worried tbh. Swings and roundabouts I guess :\)

Do ppl really OV twice? TMI

Posted: 15/02/2010 at 05:17
Hi Homefairy,

In answer to your question - yes! Some ladies do ovulate twice - this is how fraternal (not identical) twins come into being

BUT, you cannot ovulate at seperate times during your cycle. IF you are going to ovulate twice (release 2 eggs) then it will be within 24 hours of each other - not days or weeks later.

I have fraternal twins and when I was in the early stages of pregnancy with them the sonographer could tell which one had implanted sooner and so could theorise which egg was first :\)

EWCM late in your cycle could mean pregnancy - when are you due to test?

I have increased CM (not a lot of it - but more than I normally have) and I just got my BFP last wednesday!

Fingers crossed for you

Morning ladies

Hope we all had a lovely Valentines day?

Sorry I've not been around - had quite a manic weekend...

I have read through the posts I've missed but now I'm replying I can't remember everything

So if I miss you out I'm sooooo sorry :\)

Huni - from that pic I would say your opk was starting to get positive on the last test in the pic so I think if you'd carried on testing you would have had a positive the following day or day after that test (so may have ov'd later than you think ;\) ) Extra CM late in your cycle is a sign of early pg - I had this with my DD (but thought I had an infection or something as we weren't TTC and DD was a complete surprise!) Also had it with the twins..and absolute massive amounts of it too! Not had too much this time though :\?

Lau - sorry you got BFN hun - but you already know what I'm gonna say...It aint over until the horrible hag rocks up so keep that PMA up ;\)

Rainbow - how you doing? Are you still getting cramps? I must admit I'm a little concerned as I've had some right doozies over the weekend, very sharp - take your breath type cramps - have you had these at all?

Well, manic weekend. Police arrived for statement - which I gave, just as they were about to leave they advised me that the other driver - although he has insurance that is paid for - may not be covered as he is on a provisional licence - the police are looking into it as they are saying if he only has a provisional licence then for him to be covered insurance wise he needs to have a qualified driver (of at least 2 years) who is over 25 sat next to him while he is driving the car. So potentially I could be covering the cost of the accident through my insurance rather than his (there was no-one with him at the time of the accident)

Have rang my insurance company and they have confirmed what the police have said is correct - I'm due a phone call from the police today to let me know whether or not he is definately on a provisional only licence and whether what they said ^^^ is right.

Looks like that was one heck of an expensive HPT

I took the name you guys came up with "pud" and left a little rose on hubs pillow - he didn't even see it until around 9 last night. I was downstairs tidying round and he'd gone for a game on the Xbox 360. Came hurtling down the stairs 5 minutes after he'd gone up with tears streaming down his face - my first thought was something was wrong with the children until I saw the little card in his hand

He was soooo happy! He kept looking at the card almost in disbelief as if he didn't realise what the past year has been about

We did a CBD together last night and it came back 1-2 weeks! So lovely to see it in print - haven't ever got that far this past year!!

Fingers crossed for everyone still to test *gets baseball bat out of cupboard ready to whack the witch*

Oh and Lau - yes he was a male driver!!!! and they call us women!

Claims he didn't see me....erm...hello...I was only driving a great big huge mahoosive MPV!!!! Short of driving a bus you can't get much bigger than my tank!!

Police rang last night and they're coming round for a statement this evening - they apparently want to charge him with dangerous driving and attempting to leave the scene of an accident!

Serves him bloody well right - dread to think if the children had been in the car

Awww Thank you so much guys for your congrats & best wishes

It hasn't sunk in to be honest, I haven't told hubs yet as I have a plan for valentines day - I'll let you all in on that in a sec as I need a little help

Lau - we said we'd get lurve bugs...so come on missus!! I'm waiting for ya - I'm not moving my arris over to DIO without you!!

Rainbow - I must admit - I gave a little whoop when I saw your BFP note too I just love the spirit on here - whether good or bad news we all rally around ((((massive group hugs to all on TTAM)))))

Ok, so I'm planning to wrap a card attached with ribbon round a red rose and leave it on Hubbys pillow for valentines evening - nothing new there as I do it every single year - this year I'm going to get a large red rose from me and a small red rose from bubs..

Here's where I need your help - when I was pregnant with my daughter we referred to her as "Pea" (still gets called that often now  ), when I was pregnant with the twins we called them "Pip & Pop"

So...I want to write the card on the small rose from bubs but want a name beginning with P along the same sort of lines as the others but different...

Any ideas??

Hope everyone is well - do we have anyone testing today?

*****scattering a truckload of babydust (super sticky variety) along with a dollop of PMA*****

Oh my god!! So sorry for keeping you guys hanging... I've had an absolutely horrendous morning! :\(

Got the faint line on the test so dropped kids off then tootled off to town (needed to collect some trainers I had on order for my son). There's been an accident on the main route so was diverted halfway round the blooming city (or at least it seemed that way!!).

Got into town, picked up the trainers and all important tests (SD ones ). Went back to car park - one of the multi storey jobbies - starts going down the ramps to exit and some flaming jackass hit the side of my car and kept going forward!! Moving my car as he went .

Bloody idiot was going to do a runner as well - until the security guards came out and stood in front of his car! Told him in no uncertain terms that they had witnessed what had happened and that it had all been caught on CCTV. Police were on their way etc etc.

Not a lot of damage done tbh (I've got a large MPV which is built like a ruddy tank) just some denting to the passenger side and a few scuffs and scrapes on the driver side.

Went straight over to hubs work as was so shook up - kind of went into autopilot and hubs work is closer than home.

Only got back half hour ago...

Anywhoo..... it's a.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
