Thanks girls went to mothercare and they advised against a travel cot as they arnt recommended for sleeping in for prolonged periods of time. I ended up buying a small cot for 60 pounds and mattress was also ??60. Although it was more than I wanted to spend

anybody elses baby still in your room after 6mth?

My baby is 3 months old and has completely outgrown her Moses basket. we are lucky enough to have a spare room which has been made into a nursery. However I am not happy for baby to be in her own room yet. I went to mothercare and bought a small bedside cot which can be used up untill DD turns one. So i can now rest assured that my baby can practically sleep in our room till we are ready to make the transition . I think it's lovely having baby so close and I love having her in our room so I think it is a positive thing.

Thanks wowbabies! We definitely want number 2 and if it wasn't for the horrid pregnancy we would be trying sooner rather than later. However it is a bit of a touchy subject as I was so Ill with Jessica I was bed ridden so would find it almost impossible to look after the demands of a baby aswell. I know that no 2 pregnancies are the same but wouldn't like to take the risk really so think we are going to wait till jessie Rose is in pre school.
Thanks for the advice on the crib situation I managed to buy a cot for 69 pounds from mothercare yesterday it is a lot smaller than the cotbed so will fit nicely in our bedroom and you cam have it on 3 different levels so will last till she is about one. The mattress was 70 so it did work out expensive really considering I already have a perfectly good cot in the nursery but if it helps me and baby sleep then to pot with the money ha. Let's just hope miss j likes it or me won't be happy! X

Hi girls just wondered if anyone could help me with a bit of a dilemma.
My 12 week old DD has now almost outgrown her Moses basket she will only be in it for another week at the most there's about an inch of space left. We do have a cotbed in the nursery but it is very big and will not fit in our bedroom.
I am in a bit of a pickle because I am not ready for her to go into her own room. I have been looking into buying a bedside cot but they are expensive. Can anyone suggest a cheaper or alternative option? Would really appreciate any advice or suggestions. I am so anxious over the whole situation x

And the test was negative! Was relieved but I was also strangely disappointed! Even though I had a horrible pregnancy I absolutely love being a mum and think I secretly want to do it all again soon! So come on girls who wants or who will do it again?
Also, just wondering if anyone can suggest a solution for a little problem with baby sleeping situation. Jessica has now almost outgrown her Moses basket will only be in it for another week at the most there's about an inch of space left. I am in a bit of a pickle! Well when DD was 5 weeks old Hubby and I attempted a bit of me and him time it was only when we were half way through sorry if tmi! That I rememebered that I wasn't on contraception how stupid. So needless to say we stopped and I resumed the contraceptive pill the next day. I still haven't had a period since the birth but the past few days I have been feeling sickly an tired. I am not sure whether this is just a combination of my mind and body playing tricks on me! Anyway I think I am going to do a test even if it's to put my mind at rest :0 x
