Hungry baby

Posted: 15/05/2013 at 21:14

Hello Sarah, I would personally up the ounce as Oscar ( my son) would empty the big 240 ml bottles at 8 weeks. It was breast milk too so I was constantly attached To the bump or baby. In regards to feed I topped up with aptimal and had no problems. Your Jack may just be a sicky baby so whichever you use he may bring up, I would change the feed, expect some stinky wind for a couple of days whilst he gets used to it( Oscar did when he went to hungry baby) , but I would just buy the litre bottles so you don't waste money on a tub oaf different and you don't get on with it.  I personally would not give rusks or rice at 10 weeks, I started Oscar at 14 weeks because he was starving and unsatisfied, Hv words not mine! Do what you think, don't compare to your daughter as all baby's are different. Please let m know what you did and I hope all goes well.

partner has a child can we get funding?

Lois I think you may find quite a few fertility centres will not allow you treatment, you would just have to emphasise how you don't have anything to do with the child. But there was also a lady on here who the clinic were not aware that her husbandhad  a child from a previous relationship and was debating whether to tell them and save the thousands of pounds. All the best.

No sperm in sample - first result & confused

Carrying on here as couldn't above!

He had a procedure called PESA where they make an incision into the testicle through the scrotum and go looking for sperm. Well he had plenty, it's just that they weren't getting through! They collected 4 ampules full and put them on ice.

Now yes your husband can take vitamins change his lifestyle etc but to have no sperm probably means there is other problems. But I am no dr.

I would like to add I am currently holding my 5 month old son after getting pregnant withIVF/ICSI the first time.

Not sure where you live but I had my cycle at Bourne hall in Cambridge.

In relation to the dr, they can be real axxholes and I can say that as a nurse working with them! Ask if any of the drs specialise in fertility as some drs have interests and are therefore more helpful. Go back to your dr and you will be refered on for further tests. Any questions please ask all the best.

No sperm in sample - first result & confused

Hello Katy, I encourage you not to panic! Now lots of woman do not ovulate every month and if you need to go the fertility assistance route they take control of your cycles anyway now your husband, that's a little more complicated. No sperm is called   Azoospermia. Now just because he had no sperm in his sample does not mean he has no sperm, I speak from experience due to my husband. we tried for years, I came off the pill June 2005. my husbands first semen analysis showed 12 sperm, when 12 million can be considered low! His second analysis showed 1 single sperm and 2 immobile. Absolutely devastating. He was refered to an andrologis( fancy urologist) who ran numerous blood tests, needed to rule out if he had had mumps as a child which perhaps could cause the problem, he had not.

How do you keep is quiet until 12 weeks!

Sparrow 2 (Sara) just wanted to but in, my husband had PESA like what your husband is going to have, he doesn't have CF but only 1 single swimmer got through! We too had been trying for a very long time, since june 2005!

The andrologist got 4 ampules full, we used 1 for our first cycle of ICSI and I am currently holding my 20 week old baby boy! Good luck and tell your husband to choose his going home outfit wisely, mine wore jeans, big mistake! All the best.
