who's due when??

Posted: 02/08/2013 at 20:27

I'm due Jan 25th. This is my second pregnancy (have a three year old daughter). Had 12 week scan a couple of weeks ago and got to hear heartbeat at midwife appointment on Tues - nice and reassuring! I would love a water birth Rachie101 - our hospital has a birthing pool so just hoping no one else is using it when I go into labour!

Claire 6, eating little but often is supposed to help morning sickness (it didn't work for me last pregnancy but a lot of people suggested it!).

Due January 2014?

Just got my BFP today! Think I am about 4 weeks but still very early. Had really bad morning sickness with first pregnancy from about this point but only felt a little queasy so far this time around!

Daytime naps

Posted: 25/09/2010 at 11:03
I've always had probs getting K to nap during the day - she wants to be awake and watching everything and fights sleep (although settles and sleeps really well at night randomly!). Over the last 3 weeks or so we have had a breakthrough and I can now get her to nap in her pushchair (the cot is a step too far it seems!). She tends to have a shortish nap (about 30 mins) about 2 hours after waking up (so usually around 10am ish), a longer nap (1-2 hours) around 1pm ish and then another shorter nap around 6pm ish. She then goes to bed at around 9.30/10pm ish and sleeps through until around 8am.

My problem is that I went to see the Health Visitor this week and she asked how daytime sleeping was going so I proudly(!) answered that she was now having 3 naps a day and the Health Visitor looked at me as though I was committing some form of child abuse! She seemed to think that that was too many naps so I am now confused! How often should she be napping during the day (she is 22 weeks) - any advice would be much appreciated!

A question for teachers

As far as I know, your head has to consider any reasonable request but is able to say no if it is going to cause an issue. I'm going back at Christmas and would love a half day on a friday so that we can go to our baby group but I've seen the timetable and I'm teaching Friday afternoon which is rubbish!

kayssis, I think the midlands one would be the best for me but I don't think that tigerlilyrach has her email enabled on here - do you have any details of it? My email should work if you could email them to me

I just looked on their website to see where our nearest session is as it sounds good. The website helpfully told me that the nearest one is in Norwich - 63 miles away!! Don't think we'll be taking part in that one then!
