My 4 month old baby has gone off her milk...please help guys

Try changing your teat size. Could be that they aren't getting their milk quick enough, getting frustrated and giving up.

Dream Feed?

I do this with my LO. The best time to do it is between 10 and 11.
Although I found it difficult to feed direct of the breast so expressed and fed the dream feed with a bottle. Much easier to wiggle that teat in than your nipple.
You're LO will probably be feeding too regularly for it to make a difference until they're about 4 weeks though.

Also, I do wake a sleeping baby to feed. During the day I never let LO go longer than 3-3 1/2 hours for a feed and he's slept through (8pm-6.30/7am with a dream feed) since he was 7 weeks old, minus a few hiccupy days!

Do you think this is hunger or not

My LO likes his dummy for a few minutes after a feed. He still wants some sucky time but gets annoyed if I put him back on the boob (I'm guessing, if he's full after a feed and just wants comfort sucking).

For those who have family looking after LO

I've subscribed to this as it's the exact situation I have.
MIL is a childminder and will be looking after LO when I go back to work. I'm worried how our routine will fit in though when she has other children in the house :?

Thank you for the replies ladies. I was worried that I was only getting 1oz from one boob, and 3oz from the other even when pumping at the same time!

I've never used this, but I actually really like the Avent Nipple Cream. It says only to use it twice a day (if I remember correctly) and you don't need to wipe it off. But it's much easier to get out tube and rubs on better. Nothing I hate more about lansinoh that it is so thick it can be painful to rub on.

would this annoy you?

My MIL does similar. She knows I don't like evening visitors (LO is really grumpy in the evening and cluster feeds), yet she will text my DH if she wants to "pop over". She knows he'll not say no to her.

Argh! I'm angry for you.

I bought one. It was the started kit from Mothercare with 6 cartridges.
Just waiting on a few dirty nappies now!

shall we have a little update

Isaac will be 6 weeks tomorrow. At his last weighing (on Wednesday) he was 10lb2oz and I expect tomorrow he'll have put on a fair bit more. He's just so long and even some of his 0-3m clothes are getting too short for him in the leg. He's still exclusively breastfed.

He's sleeping pretty well, waking usually only once in the night about 2/3am then he'll sleep again until 7/8am. I put him down around 8pm and then "dream feed" around 10pm. He's not so great at napping during the day. Almost as if he's worried about missing something.

In the last week he's discovered his smiles and laughs a lot. He's made friends with his Lamaze beaver and is quite happy to chat away to this in the morning when I jump into the shower.
