Posted: 21/03/2011 at 18:37
Wow it's lively here again!I haven't posted in ages...!!Mia was crawling at the tender age of 5months Nooooo!!I swear she has never been a baby at all as of a day off 9 months she took her first steps eeek! She is now 10.5mths and we have a mixture of crawling and walking she can still crawl much quicker than she can walk but I still can't quite believe that my little dot has been so forward...they say 2nd babies do things quicker er yeah not Mia she just wants to be like her big sister sadly for me who thought i could baby her forever lol xxx

Toddler and a baby

I have 22 months between my girls and its only now I am really finding things "difficult" Mia is just turned 9 months- Lily is 31months (2 and half) Mia started crawling at 5 months old and her drive to be like her big sister has just spiralled- she has now just started walking a day before she turned 9 months and I am exhausted...I didn't expect to have 2 toddlers at this stage! She wants everything that Lily has but obviously that isn't always possible poor Lily has been a fab big sister but I think even she is getting frustrated as Mia takes things like her magazine or Barbie and obviously puts them in her mouth and she is super quick too! Lily has started preschool- this is her 3rd week just 2 mornings which has helped alot and also means Mia and I do a group on our own as I always felt guilty I never did anything that was aimed at her age group and she just tagged along to Lily's groups etc! But I love them both and even tho we are going through a difficult age phase with Lily (tantrums galore!) its lovely to see them playing together and Mia just adores Lily so much and vice versa. You'll muddle through I'm sure for me I found organization key- so if we were out first thing I'd have everything ready the night before and if you can go out a lot as I find they "behave" better when I'm out which means less stress for me!Good luck.x

How much is too much? X

I paid ??45 for my dd1 naming ceremony dress. She wore it again a few months later for a good friend's wedding and I have kept it in the hope if it fits dd2 may wear it for her naming day...however having said that I also think it would be nice to spoil her too and get her a new dress.x

Nursery/ pre school help

Just to add some pre schools will take children earlier than 3 years- my daughter is not 3 until July and started pre school last week. It is attached to the school she will eventually go to. From September we will get her free 15 hours and in January next year she will split those 15 hours having some mornings at pre school and then afternoons at school to prepare her for the move to Reception class next September 2012.x

What age do they start preschool ??

Posted: 21/01/2011 at 16:40
Lily is 2 and half- 3 in July and starts Preschool on Wednesday we are paying for 2 half days a week- weds and thurs until September when she will get her free sessions. Next January she will do mornings at preschool and then 1 or 2 afternoons at school to get her ready for full time school in September 2012! I can't believe my baby goes to school next year! I think different schools/preschools work differently.

We were going to start her at this preschool until September then move her to 1 slightly closer to our house which only takes them from 3 years with the intention of her going to that school but I thought as both Primary schools are on a par she may as well go to the school attached to the preschool she is starting at as it will just confuse her and she will have to make new friends etc!

How long can they stay in sleeping bag?

Posted: 04/01/2011 at 08:22
We stopped when Lily moved into her cot bed (took the bars off the cot) at 14 months. We thought if she tried to get out of bed in the night she would trip over and hurt herself so we just put her in snuggly sleepsuits with feet in stead for the colder months.x

Has anyone used a Pink Lining changing bag?

Tax credit query - thought you ladies might know

I think you can request that it goes on this year's income rather than last when you are earning...would you get any kind of Mat Pay as they would take this in to account as well. I would overestimate your hubby's income to avoid you having to be paid any back. My hubby has changed his salary twice since October (new job was on 3 month probation so salary was lower at first now its gone up) so you have to inform them of any changes throughout the year. I would ring them and see what they say.x
