goodbye :-(

Im also here to say goodbye, this site is nothing like the one where we all "met" so long ago, and think the way Liz has been treated it totally awful and I'm sure that many more members will be leaving.
I have met some truly fantastic mums from this site and look forward to the years ahead, Amy xxx

Ovarian cysts/fibroids update

Hiya, have you had your scan yet? If not its nothing to worry about its just the same as the kind of scan you have when your pregnant. I've had cysts on my ovaries but to be honest they don't do much for them, first time they found one I had to go back for a sabo 6 weeks later and this time they think one had burst but still waiting to hear from my consultant. Keep us posted on how you get on. Oh and the nhs website is really good for info xxx

Presents!

Holly wont be getting much for her birthday this year, she is having a party which will cost about ??????150 and my brother has bought her a bike for her bday which she has already had. We have little bits for her like books a few games from elc ect.
Christmas we have got her a scooter, more games, dress up bits and some bits of happy land out of elc. My mum has bought her furniture for her room, I know she is getting a dolls house and loads of peppa pig bits so she will be totally spoilt!!

Buggies

Do you still use your buggies a lot? Im still using the bugaboo but am finding it hard work and a bit too big so looking for a light weight umbrella fold buggy but hubby is not keen on getting yet another buggy and thinks that Holly doesnt need one. Its a 2 mile round trip to nursery which she does walk most of the time but with the winter coming in I think she will still need a buggy, I dont drive so we walk everywhere what do you all do????

Car seats

just out of curiosity what car seats are all the lo's in and what do you like / dislike about them. Holly is still in her big maxi cosi one but she is getting so big I think she would be ready for the next one up but not sure if I should get one with a harness or without. Im also not sure if I should get isofix or not, I know I want a good one that will last until she is 12 and dont mind spending a bit of money on it as its used a lot and it needs to be comfy for our 12 hr journeys to Scotland. Sooooo does anyone have any reccomendations or ones to avoid???

Well done Bren what a clever boy! What a great idea about reading a book about it, if only they did one to teach them to stay in bed ASLEEP all night lol xxx

Potty training - again!

Holly went through about 6 weeks of having accidents every day or at least 4 days out of 7 it was awful, we tried telling her off, bribing her and nothing worked. I was just about to givr up and put her back in nappies when I started ignoring it and when she wasn't getting attention for doing it she started using the toilet again and has since been fantastic. I would say stop talking about it, like El says change him quickly and not talking to him and try to act like nothing has happened and after a few days he will probably give up and start using the potty again.

Way to go!! It makes such a difference when they behave and respond really well when you take them to appointments does it? Good luck with the glasses, I bet he will look super cute! You'll have to let us know how he is getting on with them xxx
