Is labour LESS painful than..

Posted: 22/03/2010 at 07:39
I don't think theres any comparison really, everyone feels things differently. Both my mum and step mum have had gallstone attacks and gall bladders removed. And both have said different things about the pain. One is far more dramatic than the other lol. Its also a different kind of pain. Most women would/do relive the pain of labour because the outcome is so worth it, and soon forgotten. Where as gallstone pain is just a complete b****,it doesnt sound pleasant. I do think its a bit silly of your mil to compare the two, its not a competition. x

BEST AGE DIFFERENCE

Posted: 22/03/2010 at 07:31
Theres def no right or wrong, only whats best for you. I wanted a small gap, although theres 17months between mine. I love that their so close. But my friend waited till her first was at school, so she could spend all day focused on her second, which I also think is a lovely idea. x

Lactose Intollerant

Posted: 22/03/2010 at 07:26
It is something they can grow out of, I can't advise on formula bcoz I br fed my dd, and gave up lactose myself. But by around 9months + I started to slowly introduce it, and now at 14months she eats everything. The earlier you find out the better, we didn't know till she was 4months. Sometimes it just takes their little digestive systems time to adjust. x

Is this normal?

Question about maternity pay

Posted: 08/02/2010 at 20:17
I see why your questioning it, but I'm not sure if it's different for teachers. I have two friends who are teachers and their mat leave pay was completly different to mine. One especially because she took a year out of teaching, it seemed to reset her entitlement. If I were you I'd post this in pregnancy, baby and toddler that way another teacher willsee it. Failing that speak to citizens advise or acas. Hope you get the answer you want x x x

Very well planned not having it at home
we've just had our youngests (1year) in jan at a kids play things. Her sis is 3 in aug. I had a sickening thought a couple of weeks a go....... My big baby girl will be at school next yr. That scares me.
Saying that it's my birthday on the 21st, and like any mum, the kids come 1st so I'm celebrating my 27th by going to watch
Show me Show me with Chris and Pui at our local
theatre lol. I can't wait
