What do you feed your babies on?

Hi ladies, im a second time mum to a ds who will be 7 months next week. My question is what do you ladies that have babies of a similar age feed your lo's (as in solids)? My ds is has always been quite a 'big' baby and hv recomended starting him on solids when he was 5months,i do give him home made food sometimes but hes mostly having jared food at the mo and im worrying as to weather this is bad and i should be feeding him more home made meals? I read a post somewhere else where a lady said it was 'lazy' giving your baby jars? And now im worrying,im just unsure as to what he can & cant eat at the mo apart from the obvious things! So thought it was safer to give him jars at the mo. Any replys would be much appreciated, tia.x

2nd labour easier than 1st time?

Hi,i gave birth to my 2nd baby 9 weeks ago and it was alot easier this time! First baby was 10 days late,had a 17 and a half hour labour with epidural and forceps,and she weighed 8lb.10. Second baby was a week early,labour was 58mins start to finish and had gas&air!So completely different!Good luck

Hi ladies,hope you all had a lovely christmas!Just thought id come online whilst ive got 5 mins and see how everyone is getting on with there newborns . Its been hard work for me for the first few weeks with this being my second,but now that im getting used to the idea of having two it is getting easier.Hope youre all well and hope to hear off some of you soon,although i doubt many have had the chance to come online much would be nice to keep in touch! xx

Thanks hopefully your lo comes before thursday for you,or atleast doesnt have you waiting too long!Ive been loosing my mucus plug since yesterday so the sweep has obviously done something,might make things easier for monday..cant see me going into labour before then.Good luck to you anyway hope all goes well,i'll try and come on next week and let you know once he's here!xx

Hi ladies,how are you all feeling?I had mw appt today (38+4) and baby is engaged so thats good,she also did a sweep as im due to be induced monday anyway.She said theres not much going on there though?So dont know if itl actually do anything,hope so though!She also said i am 1 cm dilated but she said this is common with 2nd time mums,anyway thought i would update you all!Hope your all getting on ok cant believe we'll all be meeting our babies soon its so exciting xx

How is everyone

Hi ladies just wondered how your all getting on in the final weeks?Im so fed up now i really cant wait to have baby,ive enjoyed my pregnancy so far & dont like to moan but i am so uncomfortable!!!I cant sleep properly at night,ive been in agony the last two days with pain just under my right rib and in my back in the same place.Its got unbearable the only way it goes away is if i lie flat on my back which obviously i cant do all day!I rang the docs today and the nurse i spoke to wasnt very helpfull,she just said try taking paracetomol!Im going to buy some tomorrow and see if they help,on the plus side i only have 11 days max left as im going in on the 14th to be induced..had a false alarm on tuesday,thought my waters might have been leaking so rang the hosp and they said to go in so went in and they did internal examination and looks like there not but just said to keep an eye!She said baby is very low down..hope your all well anyway sorry if i sound like a moany cow :lol: but i am one at the moment!Ive had enough,want my body back now xx

being unduced????

Hiya hun im booked to be induced in 3 weeks when i'll be 39 weeks,this is my 2nd pregnancy and i was also induced with my first.I was induced with my first at 41+3 and the induction itself wasnt bad however i had to have a forceps delivery but that was due to my dd having shoulder dyctosia (her shoulder got stuck during the birth) so that wasnt very nice but that wasnt anything to do with being induced,baby was just too big for me thats why im being induced again a week early this time to try and avoid the same thing happening!As for the induction,i went in at 9am had the first gel pessarie and they then have to wait 6 hours before they can give you another one thats if the first one hasnt done anything already..mine hadnt so at 3pm i had another 1 and then it was after that i started getting contractions which got more regular then at 10pm my waters broke went to labour ward had gas & air untill 4am then i asked for an epidural which i think then slowed my labour down as dd was born 10 hours later at 14.14pm the following day.Ive also heard some horror stories,like emilyb02uk said i think people like to tell these scare stories but i dont think it was that bad atall i definetly think the fact i had an epidural made the whole process longer...ive heard of women going in to be induced and having really straight forward quick labour & births so i wouldnt worry as everybodies different & as its youre second baby youre body has already been through labour & birth so you should be fine.
