ill baby- advice needed

Posted: 17/11/2010 at 10:25
The doctor said that all his symptoms are down to this virus. He also did a blood test and everything came back normal phew!

He's given us 4 different types of medication including an inhaler as he said my son sounds a bit wheezy.

So now I can relax, a little. Doc also said that I can expect these sypmtoms to last up to 10 days!

Thanks a for all the feedback x

Thanks for the advice ladies.

So now the rash as started to appear on his face

Did the glass test and the rash disappears so thats one less thing to worry about I suppose.

He's had all of his jabs except the ones they have at 1yr, he's 1yr in a couple of weeks and we were going to do it after his birthday.

He's refusing water but will take the odd bit of milk but then he's sick or has diarrhea so he's probably dehydrated. Poor little guy, it's heartbreaking seeing them so ill and you not being able to do anything to help them.

Roll on 11am, I want to see a doctor!

Two Babies In A Year ?

My son will be 1yr and 2wks when our daughter is born.

My first pg was really easy but this time I've found it quite difficult as I suffered with morning sickness.

It's hard because you can't rest like you could the first time around however, I survived it - only 3 weeks left!

You're not mad but you do need to be strong.

Good luck! x

Hi

My little boy (nearly 1 yr) started with a cold a week ago, then over the weekend he had fever, coughing, diarrhea, non-stop crying (not like him), he's very clingy, won't eat, has been sick.

We took him to the emergency docs on Sun and they said it was a virus however, since then the diarrhea has continued and then this morning he has a red rash on his belly and up his back. HIs face looks a bit puffy and he's heavy looking around his eyes (possible from lack of sleep but thought I'd mention it).

We're off to the docs at 11am but I was wondering if any of you knew what it could possible be?
