Hi All
First of all apologies as I bet this subject has been covered to death, but because BE's search facility is so rubbish I'm starting a new thread!
I'm 13wks today and feeling a bit pissed off with the lack of info I'm being given by MW/GP/Nurse etc on the swine flu jab. I had an appt on Monday with ante natal clinic and asked the woman who saw me (she was a sister, not a mw) whether I need to have it, she said yes it's still recommended but it's done via GP.
So I called GP and they said it was nurse. Now I'd already done some research and knew there are two vaccines, one with mercury, one without. The one with is single dose and for that reason is the one that's recommended for pg women because it gives protection quicker whereas the other one is two doses three weeks apart, but doesn't contain mercury.
What I'm stuck on, and no one really seems to give me advice (and to be honest I'd rather get advice from a professional than the internet - no offence ladies!) so I'm on here to look for whether anyone else has had good factual advice on this, particularly recently so a wee while after the whole furore of earlier in the year/last year.
Help!?!
xx
