Anyone else really lonely?

Just wondering if anyone else is in my situation...

I moved to a different area when I was 16 and left all my friends behind. Most of them lost contact with me and a few Ive kept in touch with over FB etc. I dont have any friends in my area (my SIL who has a baby 7 weeks younger than Jack lives in the next town but we arent that friendly really) and the days are becoming increasingly lonely I tried going to a toddler group last week but no one spoke to me and I just sat with Jack on the baby mat by myself and wondered about with Sam for an hour and a half - it really shook my confidence as Im really shy as it is. I have 2 more to try this week and Im hoping I can make some friends as Im getting desperate for some company other than the boys and my OH. My mum comes up to see me on Wednesdays and I also go to my dads for tea in the evenings afterwards but the rest of the week I'm alone. Being a stay at home mum is hard enough as it is right now.

Anyone else as lonely as me? x

when your giving your lo solids...

do you stop feeding them after they have finished a small amount or am i supposed to keep on going til hes had enough? J loves them but Im scared to give him too much! xxx

Nyla weighs 14 lbs 7ozs at 14 and a half weeks!

jack was 7lbs 7oz at birth, 13lbs1oz at 12 weeks and last weighed at 14 weeks at 13lbs9oz

Id love him to be a big 15lb chunk lol xx

baby rice/rusks

that gives me some hope snugglenush! im really tempted to get some baby food this weekend im just so tired and he was taking 2-3 oz every 2 hours yesterday, its not a growth spurt i just wish he would take a decent feed and then be happy and content! might give him some more rusk today, maybe it will fill him up a wee bit more so theres a decent time in between feeds so he will take more milk. xxx

Hey ladies Well my hv said to wait until hes 17 weeks (which is next week) but I was naughty and tried him with a wee tiny bit of baby rice which he hated lol! then tried a tiny bit of rusk mushed up with milk and he seemed to like that haha. He didnt push the food out with his tongue and actually chewed it around his mouth. With the rusk he was grabbing the spoon and complaining when i wasnt moving fast enough lol. Hes currently drinking 2-4oz every 2-3 hours and sleeps for 4 hours max at night but the rice and rusk made no difference. Ill start giving him more when he turns 17 weeks. Probably some fruity porridge stuff in the morning and a week later veg at lunch (dinner usually the last meal you add in) wont go overboard thou, just a few spoonfuls. Im hoping this will mean more sleep for us all and some weight gain! xx

baby rice/rusks

hello ladies!! im just wondering who here has tried their baby with a little bit of rice or rusk? jack is an awful eater/sleeper and doesnt take much milk and is not very interested in milk in general! we are now mix feeding, formula and bfeeding but he still wakes every 3 hours (normal i know!) i bought some rice and rusks today but im too scared to try him with any atm. he will be 16 weeks old on saturday. his weight wasnt great again when he was weighed so now im wanting to try this. im going to ask my hv today her opinion (shes super lovely and has mentioned early weaning before due to his weight and his disinterest in milk) but just wondered what u ladies thought xxx

Glad to hear I'm not overreacting. I'm not going to say anything to her about it. Used to this kind of behaviour from her so I shouldn't really be suprised. Gotta rise above it! Thanks for letting me rant ladies lol xxx

my mil and me dont always see eye to eye, shes very 2 faced and manipulative and i try to avoid her best i can. anyway, oh took the boys to hers the other day so i could get a break. most of u know we're having an awful time with jacks reflux and he gets gaviscon, infacol and ranatidine for it, which seems now to be helping.

borrows ohs phone to check something online and i see a text from his mum saying she went into boots the chemist because she wasnt happy with the medication we were giving him and apparently they said its WRONG and he shouldnt be having all that because its too much for him to have in a bottle?! (shes lying about going to boots) do i have a right to be bloody fuming right now? of course oh lives up her backside and he didnt really say much back apart from he seems a bit better now. im fuming!! :x
