I'm leaving you - but not for any bad reasons!

Hi guys!

I've just found out I'm not as anonymous on this site as I thought I was after a friend just emailed me to say she read on here I was pregnant. So until I get to a stage in my pregnancy where I am a bit more comfortable with it I will be disappearing from here.
I'll still pop in as a visitor to keep an eye on you all!! lol! You never know, I may appear again with another alterego! It's a bit of a shame as I have been a member on here since 2007, before I got pg with dd and I found my Feb mummies invaluable for advice then.

Anyway, wishing you all the most fabulous, happy and healthy pregnancies! 2010 is really going to be a fantastic year!

Nausea!

How are you doing ladies???

Well my nausea has set in, so I guess I'm definately pregnant!!!! I said to dh last night "why didn't you remind me it was this bad" he said, "there was no point, it wouldn't have stopped you"

I guess he had a point!

12 week Scan dates

Hope you don't mind me asking Shay2 but where do you live? Can you request a 12 week one or does it just not happen?

Bit ahead of myself here but.....

We nearly called our daughter that! But for family reasons when she finally arrived we called her Kitty! Not even on the final list but we both love it!! I would definately consider it for this bean if it is a 'she' although I know my dad wasn't too keen.

I like Elsie too.

We ordered our concord neo from them early last year and had no problems, infact, they were really efficient. Good luck x

My first PROPER symptom :cry:

I had thrush a couple of weeks ago (I never knew it was a symptom, didn't have it last time) and used the canesten combi (before I realised I was pg) When I asked the doctor yesterday he said not to worry about it, just don't take the tablets. (his exact words were "don't worry about it, you could feed a baby canesten daily for years and no harm would come to them" I just said "I'll take your word for it!" lol) But he told me I could use it again if needs be, but give him a call if more than that.

second pregnancies

Im as size 10/12 and only 5+2 and I'm already undoing my trousers!!! I feel like such a heffalump! My mum looked at me as said 'is there something you're not telling us?' I was ver quick with my 'no, just too many pies!' response!!!!
With the first one I swear I didn't really show until I was about 16 weeks! This time I'm GIGANTIC!! lol Oh well, I figure it's all good - just need the sickness to set in and I'll feel properly pg!!!

12 week Scan dates

Sooo exciting! I just got my midwife appt for 9th Jan and I think my scan appt gets made after that. Certainly starts to feel more real now!

What foods to avoid??

I just want to say don't worry too much about the caffine, a small amount won't hurt. They say it can prevent the absorption of vitamins but it isn't fully proven so a cup of tea/coffee (or 2) a day won't hurt! There is enough other stuff to remember along with feeling completely knackered to add caffine withdrawal to the symptoms! xxx
