KWA Part 16 - The return of "I want a BFP before Xmas"

Posted: 24/11/2011 at 12:56
for those that haven't seen on facebook, despite having period like pains and cramps this morning the midwife isn't too hopeful that the sweep will work I've not made any progress since last week, so going in for induction on saturday looks likely now. Ah well I'll keep bouncing on my ball, walking and trying to encourage him out, but what will be will be there's not too much more I can do about it.

Good luck to all those in the 2ww.

Vickster - how did the appointment go?

Looby - that's dedication to the cause hope you had a good night.

DB- it'd be too early for a bfp try to hold off for a bit, not easy I know, but it's nicer to see an obvious line than debating if there's a faint one of not.

sue - sounds like a fantastic midwife appointment to me. Can't wait to see your scan pics.

MrsM - I didn't cut anything extra out whilst ttc, the duration of pregnancy is long enough and you could be denying yourself for a very long time. I did add in vitamins but that was it.
Hope you're not getting ill too.

LiB - hope the pains have gone for you I occasionaly get things like that, the midwife told me it was down to the position he'd gotten himself into.

Eviction proceedings went ahead as planned last night, but so far there's no signs of him making a move. I've had more show this morning and (tmi) I've spent hours having a "clear-out" but that could be down to something I've eaten, being ill, or anything else.
I've a sweep booked for tomorrow so if he's not turned up by then it might work, you never know I might get to avoid induction on saturday.

squeezed - she's gorgeous, so cute. I'm beginning to hope that our little man being lazy and laid back about coming out means he'll be a laid back baby is there any truth in that for you.

vickster - looby's right we'll all be completely over the moon when you post your bfp.

Looby - sorry to hear about your great aunt.
Hope your Oh makes it up to you after you made the effort to defuzz, I don't think I've been able to do that for a very long time. I haven't had the inclination to either, I guess being blonde is a bonus it doesn't show on my legs so I can go swimming without people knowing I've been lazy.

cheers LiB - I'll give it a try later,

well the curry was quite nice hubs tells me it had quite a kick, it definitely was spicier than i'd normally go for as I could actually taste it ( and for now at least I can breathe), I took a longer route back so I've walked a couple of miles and I'm currently sitting on my gym ball whilst typing this (bouncing is on hold). You never know he might take the hint, or at least get into a position so Thursdays sweep works. I was going to go out to the post office to send my ipod off (the one that's been recalled) as the return labels arrived today, but it's already dark so I might put that off till the morning.

Vickster - I have everything crossed for your appointment on Thursday, I really hope there's an easy fix.

I don't feel quite as bad today I still can't breathe well but I have more energy so I'm off to meet hubs for lunch in a bit. I'm tempted by suggesting an indian near his office. Even their korma is normally hot for me so if I'm adventurous it might help on both fronts, the walk over there might do me good too.

Chic - I hope there'll be an BA for you to come back to but I make no promises. I did get some bh's for a while yesterday evening but it didn't amount to anything other than getting my hopes up.

LiB - I may be tempted, I hadn't thought of making hubs sit up for support not sure how it'll work with my huge bump, but if I still have some energy when he gets home I might be tempted to try it.

DB - good luck

ww - yep it's back to one line after ov.

LiB - yep that's one of the few ways we can cope these days lying on my back is a big no now it hurts far too much and I get pins and needles. Bubs is one big heavy lump but he can't reach my diaghram now he's started to engage he is causing mild spd though just to make up for it, though we decided not to bother with the physio by the time I get an appointment he'll have been evicted. My hips can't cope with me on top, at least not for long. It's that or I'm on all fours, and well I've never found that too pleasurable, even though hubs does.

Calum Michael..

Rachey - hope you get better soon.

sue - Glad you've finally got a midwife sorted. yep we had the nuchal and the 16 week blood test, we basically went for everything that didn't risk bubs. With my pataus carrier status it seemed sensible. My sister apparently said to my mum the other week she was told if a baby is going to be born with pataus (most miscarry) they're early, so I guess being a week late is just another reason not to worry about that too much.

LiB - yep I spent a while sleeping in a t-shirt and shorts when I was leaking, it seems to have stopped now though.
Don't suppose you fancy sending those braxton hicks this way at least it'd be something. I don't think sex will be on the cards not being able to breathe as well as being huge is a major turn off for both of us.

MrsM - thats what hubs keeps saying one of his friends told him his wifes waters broke when she coughed so he's hoping the same happens to me. I'm still all blocked up, trying to put off a shower/bath until later in the hope I don't feel so bad this evening when hubs is home, he's feeling useless being unable to help get rid of it. I can cope with breathing through my mouth better when I'm not trying to sleep so hopefully I can last a few more hours before it makes me miserable again.

angie - very childish, but if she's not speaking to you you don't have to deal with her, hope they don't cause too many problems.

right I'm back off to bounce on my gym ball, I can't quite face going for a walk like I was planning for starters that would require getting dressed, something I've not yet managed today.

Chic - boo to af, cc for that 2012 bfp.

Hi carioke - good luck.

Db- good luck to you too. I have. A feeling i'm in for a long week too we can count down together.

I'm still full of cold I have a preg friendly nasal spray but, it's no where near as good as the others, apparently being close to due date they could cause problems with bubs breathing post-birth though so I'll keep avoiding them. Hopefully I'll get rid of it quickly, or at least just get back to only having a cough, I can cope with that it's just the congestion that's getting to me. I wonder what I could take for it whilst bf'ing?

Hi all I'm on my phone so will probably miss lots.

DB- good to see you I was wondering how you were not ss'ing is impossible.

MrsM- sounds like you had q good birthday.

Angie - I guess this really is our last full baby free weekend, I'll be induced next Saturday, so even if no baby it'll all be about baby.

The wedding was interesting last night even if nearly everyone felt the need to tell me labour horror stories.
Today's not going so well, i've got a crappy cold and can hardly breathe. The nasal spray we have says not for use during pregnancy, so I keep trying steam but it doesn't last. Now the only positions I can sleep in pain free-ish I can't breathe in, it could be an interesting night. I think I could be off to boots first thing in the morning.
