Thanks very much for all your ideas. I have tried a few of them with Abi and she loves it. I've now got a better idea on what I can give her.

Hello & Help with Finger Foods

Hi everyone, I haven't been on for a while (a good few months) and have a question which I need some help with.

I'll introduce myself again. I'm Claire, 27 and mum to Abigail 8 months. I went to see my HV for Abi's 8 month check-up and she said that Abi should now be encouraged to start eating finger foods. I've given her some toast which she loves, but I'm finding it difficult to think of other things that I can give her. Does anyone have any ideas? :\?

Graco pushchairs - please help I'm so confused!

I have the graco car seat and base and I wouldn't use it. I've had the same problems as everyone else and I felt so strongly about it I e-mailed them with my concerns and they got back to me and told me it was normal and ok. I'm not happy with this response hence why I e-mailed watchdog. My advice stay clear and go with something else. I'm sure someone on here can recommend something better.

11 WEEKS OLD AND NEEDS ENTERTAINING

Abi has a play gym and loves it. She'll spend ages on there playing. Since we bought it for her her grabbing skills have really come on. She is getting better and better as each day goes on so I think it is well worth the money. I got the one from the Early Learning and its nice, bright and cosy as the chicken is padded. Have a look on their website hun.

Babywipes For Sensitive Skin

I use Huggies wipes. They are the pure variety and are like cotton wool and water. Abi gets on really well with these ones. All the others had too many creams etc on them so they brought her out in nappy rash. Since I've been using the Huggies wipes she hasn't had a problem.

Like what everyone else has said, they can't make you take your maternity leave until you are 4 weeks before you are supposed to start it. Also try the DirectGov website.
