Hello, I went for one the other day and it was absolutely fine. It was just like you see on tv where they squirted the jelly stuff on and then used the hand held thing on that. The only uncomfortable thing was they ask for a very full bladder so I was desperate for the loo the whole time! After that, they decided to do an internal one as well to get a better look and, again, this was fine (and was thankfully told to "empty my bladder" for this one). I was a bit shocked at how large the camera was but it didn't hurt or anything; I would say a smear is more uncomfortable. Dont be nervous, it will be ok
