pushchair has everyone gone for?

Posted: 22/02/2011 at 08:24
We are going with the baby jogger city select as DS will be 19 months when toots arrives and as he is not walking yet (much to my frustration) we need a proper pram (he is a big boy).
I have the bugaboo bee as my stroller and i love it, willl still use it when i go to my parents (live in the city) and will get a buggy board. Its a fantastic pram cant fault it. My original pram for DS was bugaboo chameloen and this was fab but the bee is much better.

i know your totally right im just a worrier, my husband thinks ive lost it. I know that the sonographer has a duty of care to me and would have to tell me if she saw something that suggested a problem. I guess it's because the pictures are so clear (compared to my ds), It's obviously a better / clearer machine.
I am going to try and chill out as even if the fluid is increased it's only a soft marker and doesn't always indicate a problem.

i know im being stupid, my husband thinks ive lost it but all the different things are playing on my mind. here are the scan pics see what you think. I guess baby position can make fluid look more and as she doesn't do the nuchal scan she maybe wasn't even taking pics when baby was in correct position.
oh i hate google.

Don't know who else to turn to and really need some advice as im myself ill. I had my 12 week scan the other week and at the time the woman was really rude to me, had to go on my own as couldn't get a sitter for DS. Anyway, she mentioned to me about the 16 week downs bloods. I began thinking did she see something that made her remind me? anyway she didnt give me any scan pictures but after phoning the hospital they managed to track them down and were sent out.
Here is the issue, the scan pictures are very clear and pretty much to scale baby measure 48mm. Well they don't offer the nuchal scan in our area so you can imagine the first thing worry wart me looks for is the fluid at the back of the babies neck. two of the photos look to have a small / average amount of fluid the other seems to have a large amount of fluid. I am freaking out about it. i have measured my scan picture (crazy i know) baby measures 50mm and the fluid 2mm.
please someone tell me im being stupid, husbands away and my hormomes are going crazy. have been in tears all morning and worried myself stupid yesterday.
argh why can't i just be carefree and easy.

12 week scan - need some advice

Posted: 03/12/2010 at 12:41
I phoned about the photos and asked about the sonographer mentioning my bllods, apparently its routine for her to mention it was she has to work out when im 16 weeks in order to do the blood. Also she forgot to give me the pics so they are being sent to me in the post. Im feeling alot better about it today, think i was just a little down because i had no photos to look at.

12 week scan - need some advice

We don't get nuchal scans up here so she can't have detected that. I guess i just worry she saw something and wanted me to have the bloods. I guess im just worrying for no reason.

advice please

im 27, it's just the fact she mentioned the bloods. seemed strange to me aas she is a sonograher. i phoned the scanning dept and they said it was routine for her to tell me the date of when i needed the 16 week bloods. Hubby has said that had she seen anything she most likely would have said that there seems to be something.
just wondered if its usual for the sonographer to tell or talk to you about 16 week bloods.

I had my 12 week scan today, all was perfect (apart from hubby couldn't park due to snow and i had to go in myself). Anyway my new worry is that baby has down syndrome. The freak out being that the sonographer ask me if i knew about 16 week bloods and wrote in my notes when the test for downs should be.
Is this normal for her to bring this up? or did she see something that suggested baby might be downs.

p.s she also forgot to give me photos so i can't look at toots either, not that i would know what to look for.
