Thank you ladies!!

Unfortunately I got really sick on sat/sun but think I'm on the mend now - seems its not uncommon in the week after an epidural/spinal block but I just didn't expect it. Got really good anti-sickness meds from the doctor so hopefully that's the worst behind us.

If anyone gets bad indegestion or sickness then please call your doctor as there is something that can be done!!

Good luck all!! Xxx

Hello all!

I had a little boy on Tuesday - not what we were expecting but he's here and all is fine!!

Had another c section, so no vbac for us.

Ladies, good luck over the next month - there is no joy quite like seeing their little face for the first time!! l

Raspberry Leaf Tea

Hello ladies,

Don't think it's too late to start at any time!
I'm a bit confused with the advise I was given right enough - last time round I was told to we could start from 32 weeks and build up but this time the midwife said not to start til 37 wks and then have as much as I like each day!
It's also good for after the baby is born to get your uterus contracting back to the right size, although it can be quite uncomfortable (but I'd had a c section last time so a lot of things were uncomfortable!!)

Think you can get raspberry leaf tablets instead of the tea....

Also has anyone else tried clary sage oil? It's for the very late stages and is a way of relaxing everything ready for labour. I haven't got any yet as not sure if we'll be having a planned c section yet.

Cheap nappies offer at Asda

Well size 1 is up to 11lbs so I was thinking that would be ok for the first few weeks. And at ??1 a go you can't go far wrong!
With DD we'd bought about 200 nappies thinking we were so organised but that was gone within the first 2 weeks.... This time I've just been buying up bargains when I see them but mostly size 2 so far - it's not that common to get size 1 on offer...

Hello ladies,

Just seen a post on another mummy site that Asda own brand nappies size 1 for newborn are on offer at ??1 a pack of 40!!

Think it's only the size 1 but it's a good bargain for the first few weeks, they've got quite a good reputation.

Sainsburys have a baby event on now too for those stocking up....

It all goes so fast!!

Hoya ladies,

How are we all feeling? Days and weeks just flying by now!!

I saw the consultant yesterday and all was looking good for trying for a vbac until thru checked baby's position and it's breech and back to back - which means after emergency section last time, they won't risk me going natural unless baby turns. :?
So I have two weeks to encourage baby to turn naturally or I'll be booked in for an elective section. I'm cleaning the floors etc but any other advice would be very much appreciated... There's a lot of old wives tales but I'd be willing to try most things....

How's everyone else doing??

xx
