goodbye :-(

Posted: 07/04/2011 at 16:36
Oh this is too sad! But we all know this isn't the end of us as a group...and we shall continue to chat/meet/rant through FB and other channels!

Now to read some old posts before I truly say goodbye to a site I was once sooo addicted to....because of you lot being there for me!

Love Ali xxxxx

Am I being naive about pre-school / nursery

At G's preschool nursery they have three separate rooms and have different areas set out in each, exploring different things. It all looks great fun! They also do learning tasks, such a colours, shapes, letters numbers etc but the most of this is done in their actual preschool year, ie from Sept for G. But G has attempted her name and looking through her file, she can do lots of colour and shape matching activities etc. They also have an outside play area and make use of the local park for outdoor play too.
I am very pleased with our nursery and will be sad when G leaves!

I've missed you all and i'm back!!!

Hi Star!
Glad you're all well and are having fun with your boys, can't believe how old Mason is now! Don't worry about the dummy/bottle thing. It's much harder taking these things away when you have a baby as well....the toddler wants to revert back to baby things too and who can blame them?! Gracie has her dodi just at night time, was purely by fluke that she did without it for a few hours one weekend and I just decided not to take it to c/ms or nursery and she's een brill with it. I really thought she'd have it for years!
I'm sure Fin will love nursery, Gracie is going an extra day in Jan as se loves it sooo much! She even wants to go tomorrow but it's a pre-school so only open term time.
We're all well and are waiting for our new house to be finalised to move into soon into the new year if poss.
Good to have you back! x

Gracie is Miss Independent! She needs lifting up to the sink but does everything else herself, but I wipe after too!

Stair gates

Hi,
I've just sold ours (got a pretty penny for them too!) as we'd not had them up apart from a short spell at the top of the stairs since we took them down once Alfie was big enough! Gracie wasn't too interested in stairs as a toddler, but has managed them well for a long time. She has gone up and down confidently alone for quite a while too, and I even caught the little bugger jumping down them one at a time the other week!
I think Alfie was around three when we took them down and had no probs...only Charlie has ever fallen down the stairs and that was about a year ago when he was 6!!!

For Fun

Great post!

1. Naughty mummy no 2 lol, Peppa Pig dvd!
Baking (though it's a nightmare and takes ages with 3 wanting to have a go!)
Mister Maker - we get Charlie's 'Mister Maker' box out full of arty/crafty bits and make cards/pictures etc

2. Gracie calls ppl and herself 'little bugger' - Oops that'd be my influence, could be worse!?! My dad thought it wa hilarious the first time she called it him!

3. Squirted Alfie's squeezy yoghurt all over him and the kitchen cupboards yesterday. Told me she didn't need a wee several times over then promptly peed in her pants.

4. She says 'Oh my God' in context! I'm such a good parent....!

5. Ermmmm...girly toys are much more exciting than boy ones so I've done my fair share of boyness and am enjoying all things pink lol. I do get a bit distracted when playing with the kitchen set though, plastic food just doesn't cut it for me!
