Me too.. I'm not happy with the way the site has been since the changes especially the privacy issues and I'm disgusted at the way Liz was treated.

I'm so glad to have met you all on here and in real life though...definately won't lose touch with any of you

See you on fb

6mth+ guidelines, buggys, when did you start?

Our pram has 3 settings - flat, upright (for older baby) and somewhere in the middle of lying at an angle so they can see out. We first put my son at that angle when he was about 13 weeks as he was getting grumpy sometimes and liked to look around. We started off only doing it for a few mins at a time and always putting it flat again when he nodded off. He's now 3 and never had any problems with it. T is almost 12 weeks and she's the same wanting to nosy around so yesterday I put the pram up for her when we went into town and she spent a good 10 mins having a nosy around and she was loving it till she fell asleep.

Tbh I think its the same as anything else theres warnings about - be sensible about it. Our pram at least puts lo at a similar angle to being in a car seat and the guidelines on car seats are 2 hours so I figure 10 mins at a time can't hurt and I'll carry on doing it

Hiya
I've combination fed both my kids due to not enough milk and this is what we did
We've used aptamil and we put the cooled boiled water in bottles ready to add powder as and when needed. My son wasn't fussy about what temp he had his bottles so we would put the full amount of water in the bottle and add milk powder as and when he wanted a feed so it was ready in seconds. We used tommee tippee bottles & powder dispensers and would just take them out so they were ready.

My daughter is a fussy madam and likes her milk hot so we currently put about 2oz boiled water in the bottles ready and we have the tommee tippee thermos flask which we fill with boiled water and use that to top up to 5oz when she needs a feed. It keeps water hot for ages - sometimes its cooled down quite a bit so we end up tipping out the 2oz and just using the water from the flask but thats usually after about 18hours or so. If we are only goingout for a couple of hours we'll put the full 5oz of not quite boiling hot water in the bottle and put it in a tommee tippee insulated carrier which keeps it quite warm for a while. If we will be longer than that and don't know if we can get the bottle warmed anywhere we just take the thermos with us.

We got this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0988177/Trail/searchtext%3ETOMMEE+TIPPEE.htm which is a good deal even fi you don't want the bottle or powder containers

Child Eczema Webchat - Mon 17 Jan 12-1pm

Hi, my son has just turned 3 and has areas of bad eczema (mostly on his wrists). We have a variety of creams, antihistamine medicine and steroid from the skin specialist doctor which have improved the eczema and we are happy with this.

The doctor thinks he'll just outgrow it, but I'd like to know how likely this is or whether it could be food allergy related. We found out just after he turned 2 that he is milk protein intolerant and once we took the milk protein out ofhis diet (its now been reintroduced to some extent) his eczema improved somewhat.

We have a family history of eczema and asthma and my husband was allergic to lots of things in childhood which he grew out of which makes me think that my son could have inherited some of the allergies which could be causing hte eczema - how likely is this?

Thanks

Are there some kind of accident statistics that confirm that? Just curious cause then I can ask my dads professional opinion again cause his is the opinion I trust the most

We have the britax first class and so do my parents in their car and it was the one most recommended by our local mothercare fitter who is extremely good so I'm confident its a safe seat - we never used it rear facing though - we bought it when we wanted a forward facing seat.

On the subject of rear facing being safer.. I actually finally remembered to ask my dads opinion on this as he is a highly qualified safety consultant and he said that the only way that rear facing is safer than forward facing (providing the rear facing child is still correctly fitting in the seat) is in the event of a direct rear impact. If you were hit head on or side on then theres no difference between forward and rear facing. Just thought I'd mention that
