Its amazing the mixed reception that you recieve from others when your out and about going to appointments, shopping or other errands.
Everything from: Some kind stranger giving their seat up for you on the bus (mind you this has only happened the once so far)
To a market trader who just thinks i`m a big girl who needs XXL big black knickers and when i explained that i am actually pregnant, (i just dont think she knew) and they were for when i`m in hospital and for afterwards. As i asked her for help with the size, coz everything is in hip inches, the market trader was shocked and her response was "really are you pregnant?" (which kinda of upsets you inside a little) and out of sheer embrassment she started to compliment me on my top!
Any other stories on a random scale, you girls have experienced that you`d like to share??

I was walking through a classroom today and could hear whispering from a table of girls ..... "shall I ask?"....."what if she's not"...... In the end one very tentatively asked. They were all excited when I said yes!

rude market trader!!

I am 24+3 and have been getting the "OMG YOU'RE HUGE" comments for a week or so now. No actually i'm not huge, i'm pregnant and you've been so used to seeing me as a stick insect for the past 26yrs that of course I blinking look huge!
people lack tack around pregnant women - i seriously think its a disease!!!

I registered at a new doctors and had a new patient appointment i went in and sat down and she started asking questions like do you eat a healthy balanced diet and then she said do you drink alcohol, i said no im 28 weeks pregnant! and the nurse said ooo i couldnt tell - just to look at you, you dont look pregnant. My thoughts were oh thanks so you just think im fat then lol. I was waring a baggy long top but you could still see my obv bump lol xxxx

with my 1st pregnancy..it was obvious it was a baby bump!

last pregnancy you wouldnt have even known i was pregnant

this time when i stand i have a very noticable baby bump...but when i sit down it just looks like fat!!

the people who are important know, so i dont bother about anybody else!!

Some people can be so insensitive! I've only had people comment on my bump in the last couple of weeks so I presume I just looked a bit chubby before that! I haven't had anyone say anything rude yet though.

Well girls i think you can come across the most insensitive and tactless people when u are pregnant - i`ve learnt that for sure. It`s comforting to hear of other tales - thanks ladies and like u say mrsuk, the people who are most important to you who you love and cherish are there to shower you with as much comments and compliments as you can get. It`s just so surprising the public in this day and age and disappointing - ahh well - good luck with it all ladies.
