hi gals,

well its one of them topics that i have reseached but still have no clue.

what travel systems have we all been looking at for our twins???

my other half and i are looking at the jane twinpro, i have heard that they are meant to be one of the best on the market, has any one brought their system yet and if so what have they brought???
or to mums that already have twins what system did u buy and how would you rate it??
the jane system looks the best there is but it comes at a loverly price, i guess its lucky that tamba offer you discounts with some of the companies that stock this range.

plz let me know what you think of the jane twin system or which you you have brought.

love

Before we were sure I was having triplets, I started to look at the First Wheels City twin system - mainly because you can attach carry cots to it..... can't remember whether it had car seats though.

ow, however, we've had to move up a size and are probably going to get the Peg Perrego triplette, which only comes in a rather fetching brown colour which they describe as 'toffee' - never mind, at least I can get the car seats in three different colours to brighten things up!

yes the colours of twin an multipal prams are not the nicest i have seen.
my other half and i had brought a pram early on in the pregancy thinking we were having one and seeing that mamas and papas had a special on the pram we wanted saving us a massive 250.00 we thought why not. then we had to be having two didnt we, so i had to take it back. i thought i was having a good run with getting things sorted but i guess mother nature wanted other things for me...lol
since falling pregant i have changed big time within myself, i would never just top a strange for a chat, now if i see another woman with twins i stop her and ask if she dont mind i ask a few questions. i did that today, i was a lady with the jane twin pram and though why not, and it was loverly to ask her what she thought of it and just have a chat in general. i think i might start going to a twin mother and baby group in my area to get to know a few other mums in the area... i think it might be nice.
so the pro twin had the thumbs up from one mum i have meet. i think its the one we will go for, going to go out sunday looking for prams

We're going to wait until I've had the 20 week scan before we order ours - you can't get them in this country, I think it'll have to be imported from Italy..... nightmare, I'm bound to not like it when we've got it and then I'll be stuck with it! Haven't got much choice really though, it's the Peg Perrego or Inglesina (which looks horrible), or one of the really flimsy looking cheap ones that I don't think I'd trust with newborns!

hiya girls,
i was looking on mothercare and kiddicare.co.uk and they both have double prams and triple prams. mothercare have brought out a new range of jane prams they have a tandam one which both seats are suitable from birth unlike most that are 1 from birth other from 3 months. the ones on kiddicare are the same and are about ??100 pound cheaper !!! hope this helps and your pregnancies are going well xx debs xxx

Hi girls

I am 22+5 with twins and decided to purchase the Out n About twin pushchair......it is a side by side three wheeler!! Fits through most standard doors and is really light weight!! I looked at the jane power twin but you can't use the front seat from birth!!

I chose the Out n about as i didn't want one where the car seats attached i wanted the twins to be able to lie down in the pushchair!!!

kiddicare.co.uk is so the cheapest website to get you pushchair!!! Check it out girls...

Hope you are all doing well and enjoying your bumps.......!!!

well all my dreams of having a the jane twin2 or the power twin have gone down the drain.
we went to mother care to have the car seat, the matrix fitted to the car, and well as we have a 4x4 we thought yeah we should be able to get it to fit and it will all be fine. well it wasnt, there was too much slack in the seat belt and the lady said when she rocked the seat it was moving way too much.
so its back to the drawing board, i am getting cranky about the whole thing, we had brought a pram months ago and finding out we were having twins had to take it back, i just want things to be sorted. i'm tired of looking and having to think we that fit, or will that suit this, and so on. i said to the huby last night, you sort it, then i thought wait what if i dont like the pram he gets, and what if i find the car seats dont suit me. then i thought bugger it, he knows me pretty well to make a choice for the both of us. he has been itching to sort some thing of the babies stuff out which me saying no, so i thought well this is the most important thing that we need, i am sure he well do us proud. so when he gets in tonight i am going to tell him he can have free range to do sort out the travel system but he has a colour range to stick to and has to think of would i like it... i think he should be happy, and that takes one massive load of stress off my hands...
any body else still have travel system problems??

thanks for the idea of looking at kiddicare twinmummy and squirt, i think i may have found the solution to my pram problem. might go for the 3 wheeler kite pusher or the out n about and then look into car seats. i think it will be alot easer then getting car seats in and out of the car, as i saw how hard and fiddly it was yesterday just putting one seat in let alone two... the kiddicare web site is great, i had looked at it before but never really took much notice of the prams as i was set on the jane, but i am glad i looked.
cant wait to show the hubby so he can sort it all out.

We've had huge problems getting car seats to fit our car - we bought a volvo last February, thinking that it would be the perfect family car - went out to look at baby stuff last weekend and bought 3 seats from Mamas and papas because they were half price and fit on the pram we want but the seatbelts weren't long enough to go round them! We've ended up buying 2 Britax combination seats and 1 infant carrier for the middle (only because the the Britax isn't siutable for the middle seat unitl it can be facing front). We'll change the infant carrier to another Britax when the triplets are 9 months old. The hassle we've had finding seats that are small enough for the seatbelts has been a nightmare - we asumed that they'd be standard length, and thought the trouble would be actually fitting three seats across the back seat! We couldn't even fit a carrier on the front seat because the seatbelt was too short!

Just a quick note though - you can get clips to fit onto the seat belts that stop the belts from giving - the mamas and papas primo viagio bases come with them but I think you can buy similar things on their own.
