For those of you who remember me (had 3 mcs in last year), well I had my 1st appt at St Mary's recurrent mc clinic. Before I went, I knew that I had a bicornate uterus (BU) from a previous scan. anyway at the clinic they did an ultrasound and it appears I have been misdiagnosed. the BU I am suppose to have is actually a septate uterus - which means that there is a bit of tissue in the middle of the uterus which doesn't have much blood supply. if the pregnancy has embedded on that, it won't survive basically. I have been booked in for corrective surgery on 19th Dec. From research on the web, it says that after surgey, success can increase from 4% to 88%. I already have a child - so it looks like she fell in the 4% chance, so makes me feel incredibly lucky. I hope this has been the cause of the mcs, and not anything else. But still to hear back about blood tests and get repeat tests done.
It looks like I won't be back to TTC till next year now as I get all my results in January. But I will be keeping an eye on you to see how you are all doing.
good luck everyone for a bfp
i am feeling a bit more optimistic now.
