tubes? - Trying for a baby

hi all have just come back from the doctors after being 1 week late and having quite severe pain in my lower stomach to be told that its my tubes that are hurting me thats it no info or anything he knows we are ttc so said do a test to make sure its not that but just take paracetamol and come back if it still hurts in 3 weeks how usless are doctors now days. has any one else had this and is it anything to worry about ive never had pain in my tubes before its been 3 wks now please help

Never had this or even heard of it but I'd make another appt with another doctor and ask for an explanation, its appalling to not have been given one.

Do you still have the pain now? x

hi goonie its kind of a dull ache now but it changes through out the day and my stomache swells up so i look about 6 mnths pg he pressed all my stomache and said it was deffo my tubes that were sore ive tried to google it and cant find anything like it anywhere its made me worry now. he did say only go back if i bleed or am sick dont have a clue whats going on

Just did a couple of searches and couldn't find anything either. I think its appalling you weren't given more information by your doctor...maybe ring NHS Direct or look through their info pages? x

years ago I had severe pains - it was very painful to have intercourse as well. It was ovarian cyst.

i had non-surgical treatment in the hospital & was ok since.
you can have ultrasound to check if there's a cyst on your ovaries

thanks inna i spoke to sharon in the web chat shes put my mind to rest a lill i dont have any pain during intercourse so hopefully its not that
